You'll have no problems sorting splashingly splendid times at this Mediterranean site. Big and fably-equipped Camping Club Le Littoral is within strolling distance of a sandy beach, within easy distance of a waterpark, and crammed with watery options for active or unwinding hours. A free shuttle bus runs to the beach in July and August.
Beach first: Club Le Littoral is under a kilometre from Mediterranean sands (around 800 metres, to be sandily precise) and is three kilometres from the popular Med seaside town of Argelès sur Mer. If you hadn't already heard, Argelès is home to the the longest beach in the Pyrenées-Orientales and a base for watersports galore including scuba diving and windsurfing. The town has its own canyoning park, and the slides of the Aqualand Saint Cyprien waterpark are just to the north (five minutes' drive from the site.)
And yet. There's no need to even leave the Club Le Littoral grounds to plunge into watery depths: the vast waterpark in the grounds (covering over 650m²) has a covered and heated pool, four waterslides, a main pool and a paddling pool to keep all ages damp all the day long. More relaxedly, a sauna, hammam and Jacuzzi are over in the wellness centre, or you could lounge about at the solarium to soak up spectacular views over the Albères mountain range.
A huge amount of other options await too: there are kids' and teens' clubs, a playground and bouncy castle, a fitness centre, a games room, tennis, pétanque... and a bar and restaurant to keep your energy levels up.
If that all sounds a tad too much, settle down under the shade of palm trees or in one of the park's plentiful green spaces for lazy times all around.

Local attractions
As well as the watersports, that spectacular seven-kilometre beach and serene boat trips from its harbour, a funfair, casino, cinema, golf course and nightclubs are within easy reach at Argelès. The coastal path above goes through woodland and past cliffs for scenic hikes.
Another recommended local stopoff is Collioure, 20 minutes' drive south, with seaside and medieval Château Royal de Collioure. Perpignan (25 minutes) should also be on your must-see list, for the huge Palace of the Kings of Majorca and lively Place de la République square.
The region's also well known for its festivals: Les Déferlantes is the place to be if you're around Argelès in July, while the festival of Saint-Côme and Saint-Damien is a good pick for September. In Perpignan, the famed – and free – Guitares au Palais music festival runs for three days at the palace: get that for bragging rights back home.
