Now here’s a location where you’ll really feel like you’re surrounded by nature – Camping Les Iles covers almost 30 acres of greenery on the banks of the Eure river, with a generous 600 metres of riverbank to its name. With two fishing ponds on site, a well-maintained collection of trees and flowers and a lovely riverside path to stroll along, this is a peaceful spot indeed – and one where you may find it difficult to believe that you’re just an hour’s drive from Paris. As well as space to relax, there's also plenty of provision for activity here. The site has a heated swimming pool (with retractable roof so you can still swim in less good weather), a paddling pool, a multisports court, a couple of pétanque courts, a billiards room and a table tennis area, so there’s a lot to keep you busy during time spent on site. Come along in summer and you’ll also be able to join in with organised entertainments, including quiz nights, pétanque tournaments, fishing competitions and dance evenings with live bands. During the summer months (May to September), the poolside snack bar is open for easy access to eats and drinks too. It’s not tricky to find food around here, however – the site is just on the edge of Ivry-la-Bataille, so there are several shops, bars, restaurants and a supermarket within a 15-minute walk.

  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The indoor swimming pool is open between 07/05 and 30/09.
  • Twin axle vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work-related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.
  • The site caters for families (immediate members) and couples only - bookings from all other forms of groups are not accepted.
  • Discount cards and gift vouchers cannot be applied to bookings made via Pitchup.com.
  • At least one of the party members must be aged 18 or over.
  • A cable measuring at least 10 metres is needed for the electric hook-ups.
  • Guests are advised to bring a good quality torch with them as parts of the site are unlit.
  • Swimming in the lake is not allowed.
  • Fires, barbecues and/or firepits will not be permitted in dry, windy and/or hot weather conditions.

Liked Lovely location near the town centre. The toilet and washroom blocks were modern and clean. Kids loved the indoor/outdoor pool and slides. Excellent playgrounds, football pitch and trampolines. Shame it was just a 24 hour stopover!

Liked Emplacement de bonne taille acceuil du camping excellent très belle piscine malgré le manque de certaines personnes peut respectueuse de la vie en société qui réserve 10 transats le matin puis parte manger en laissant leurs serviettes et reviennent 5 h00 après en se plaignait que certaines personnes ont pris 2 transats pour 2 maman avec enfants mais la direction n ai en rien responsable et à même défendue les 2 mamans bravo
Le bar et très bien et accueillant
Je suis venue déjà 2 week-end et je vais revenir dès que possible.
Je conseil fortement ce camping

Liked Very good communication from the site. Had all the information sent to me before our stay so we were ablt to get straight on to our pitch. Nice site and good facilities.

Liked I don’t usually stay at holiday parks but I’m so pleased I stayed here. Everyone was so friendly & caring. It truly felt like home for my few days - and I extended my stay it was so good. It was also in such a great location for accessing Versailles, Paris & Monets Garden

Disliked Confusion for entrance - it’s different for tourers than static caravan residents so ensure you go to correct place! (It’s only a couple of minutes away so no big deal though!)

Liked A friendly clean site with lovely clean toilet, shower and washing up facilities.
Also a lovely swimming pool.

Disliked I feel that even though everything is clean and joint sexed for the showers.
The toilets should have a completely own separate entranceway and not within the male toilet area and there should be male showers on the one side and females showering on the other as it is just off putting when you are showering.

Local attractions

Some guests will be using this site as a quick escape from Paris – but for those visiting the area, a day trip to Paris is certainly doable (and recommended). A drive of an hour or so will get you to the outskirts of the city, where you can pick up the metro to get into the centre for all the big landmarks or just soaking up the atmosphere. If you’re not up for Paris, there are alternatives – how about the stunning Palace of Versailles (45 minutes’ drive), the gorgeous Giverny gardens that inspired Monet (40 minutes) or a visit to Chartres (an hour), home to a fabulous Gothic cathedral and a riverbank flanked with medieval buildings. The Eure region has plenty of options for walks, bike rides, horse riding and watersports – or you could explore the scenery at leisure on the Eure Valley Railway (20 minutes). Places like Château d'Anet (five minutes) should satisfy those who like to explore a bit of history on holiday, while the go-karts, inflatables and wooden characters at Le Domaine de la Forêt Enchantée (45 minutes) make a great day trip for families with young kids.
