Quiet time, cicadas and the gentle knell of distant cowbells are the vibe at this coastal Corsica retreat; parting this place is sure to be such sweet sorrow indeed. But don't think about that just yet – think instead about the spectacular sea views, the long stretch of sandy beach that lies in front, and the fably friendly owners. Camping Europa Beach is spread across four hectares of semi-wooded parkland and overlooked by Monte San Petrone and a constellation of villages and hamlets. It's between the Costa d'Oru and the wooded hills of the Castagniccia region, with walks along vast stretches of coastline available direct from site. Lined with mimosas, alders, pines and eucalyptus trees that provide pitches with welcome shade, the park is home plenty of birdlife to look out for as you hang around in the hammock during long lazy afternoons. It's a peaceful place too, far away from main roads but under 40 minutes' drive from the old port city of Bastia. Activity options are well sorted: ping pong tables, billiards, pétanque, table football and pedalos are all here as well as plenty of space for kids to play and among the trees and on the sand. Yoga classes are also available as an extra way to unwind. For eats and drinks, seek out the small but well-stocked mini market or mosey on over to the restaurant: if you're lucky, the owners might even catch and prepare a fish or two for you.

Lovely beachfront spot, natural and peaceful. Staff are grand and helpful, with flexible times. Pitches are big and shady. Facilities are clean but a bit old. Need a car to get here, but perfect for a simple, relaxing seaside break.

Liked Je kunt er zelf je plek uitzoeken, grote camping direct aan zee! Heerlijk voor als je van rust houdt

Disliked Het is echt een zeer verouderde camping; zeer oude sanitaire voorzieningen. Gelukkig wel schoon. Het terrein ziet er ook minder onderhouden uit . Maar een prima plek voor ons voor 1 nacht.

Disliked Sanitaires un peu vétustes et pas très propre, camping laissé à l abandon dommage car il a un fort potentiel.
Il manque peut être une aire de jeux pour les enfants et quelques trucs pour les ados .

Disliked Sanitäranlagen des Grauens! Duschen und Toiletten sind wohl dem Verfall preisgegeben worden, es schimmelt und stinkt, noch dazu kein Licht. Campingplatz generell verwuchert und ungepflegt, es stehen kaputte Camper unmotiviert in der Gegend herum. Wir würden gerne weniger Sterne geben, wenn das möglich wäre. Einfach grauslich

Liked Un camping à l'ancienne comme on les aime. Accès sur une magnifique plage direct. Un très bon accueil à l'arrivée puis on choisit nous-même notre emplacement. Nous avons trouvé une place très éloignée des autres campeurs, c'était donc parfait pour nous. La mer était chaude et magnifique. Le lieu est calme et paisible, les chiens sont acceptés et la situation géographique vous permet d'explorer le nord de la Corse facilement. Depuis Querciolo, nous nous sommes rendus à l'île rousse et à Saint-Florent à respectivement une heure de route approximativement. Le route vers Bastia est une ligne droite donc on s'y rend très facilement également. Il faudra tout de même faire quelques kilomètres pour faire vos courses. En ce qui concerne la pain, il est réservable la veille à l'accueil. Nous tenons à remercier les gérants pour avoir su préserver ce lieu du "nouveau tourisme" qui n'a plus que de "camping" que le nom.

Disliked Allez, le seul petit bémol, c'est le deuxième bloc sanitaire (celui proche de notre emplacement)qui est assez vétuste mais c'est bien pour la vaisselle et les toilettes,pour les douches nous nous rendions donc au premier bloc sanitaire qui est bien plus confortable.

Local attractions

An equestrian centre and tennis courts lie 500 metres from base. Walks are easy to access from the site too; for hikes further afield, you can reach the forested slopes and winding river valleys of Castagniccia in about 40 minutes by car. As well as 40 per cent of the island being covered in the Corsica Regional Nature Park, there's history aplenty to be found among its archaeological sites and museums: travel across the island and have a wander around the museums in Corte, Bastia, and Ajaccio to learn about the history of the island and one of its most famed former residents, a certain N Bonaparte. A short drive north along the coast will take you to the spectacularly characterful old port town of Bastia; in addition to moseying around the port, make sure you visit the vibrant neighbourhoods of Terra Vecchia and Terra Nova to explore their historic streets and neat little boutiques.
