The resort is within walking distance (600 metres) of Poullan-sur-Mer, two kilometres from the coast and four and a half kilometres from the nearest beach. Douarnenez and Cap Sizun are under 15 minutes' drive away.
La Baie de Douarnenez is a big, lively and well-appointed park with loads to do for all ages. Clubs for kids and teens run in the summer months, alongside activities, events and entertainment for all ages including guided walks along the coast.
Also on site is a restaurant/pizzeria, the Woodpecker, where a bar with bigscreen TV, terrace and games room opens in the evenings. Local attractions
Douarnenez, its bay and its four (oui, four) harbours are under 15 minutes' drive from the site.
A busy port in the 16th century, Douarnenez these days still has a strong fishy vibe, with fishermen's cottages still standing above Rosmeur harbour: delve into the whole tale at the Port Musée or maritime museum next to the town's oldest harbour Port-Rhu. After that, stroll the couple of kilometres along the old Sardine Trail to the small village of Plomarc'h for spectacular sights over the beaches and bay.
Going west towards Brittany's equivalent of Land's End in Cornwall, wild Pointe du Raz half an hour away has clifftop walks to tackle as well as waves to tame at the surfing beach of Baie des Trépassés (strong currents here, so strong surfers best). Two famed Brittany destinations are also within easy reach, Quimper within 35 minutes' drive and Concarneau within 50.
For details of other local destinations, leaf through the plentiful brochures at the site reception.
