What customers say

Sure, here is the translated summary: "Lovely, quiet site with private, roomy pitches. Staff are grand. Facilities are mostly grand, with hot water, but some found them a bit basic. Great location, walk to Belleme village. Pool and sports nearby a bonus. A few grumbles about pitches, lights, and the shared pool."

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked The proximity to the beautiful and quaint town of Belleme.

Disliked Lack of lighting at night, sanitary facilities and very poor welcome. Pitch up as a booking platform was criticised. WiFi appeared to be closed down outside of working hours.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked A nice little site with good sized pitches. The facilities were very clean. Good for a short stay.

Disliked Some showers were closed, so only a couple of showers were available.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Walking distance to the lovely town. The oldr area of yhe town is really lovely. Outdoor pool tight next door, loked great but didn't use as this was justva one night stop over. Nice small quiet sire. Bar/restaurant on site.

Disliked Bring your own toilet roll. I know this is usual on many sites in France, but think it's a basic that should be provided.

Electric optional grass tent, touring caravan or trailer tent pitch

Liked Good response when we phoned to say we'd arrive a little after reception closed. Nice site with great facilities nearby e.g pool (additional charge), games, skate park etc

Disliked Didn't seem to be expecting us (luckily had places) but had to show them booking confirmation from pitch-up, they had no booking details on their records
Fairly limited toilet/shower facilities. Pitches not very level.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass motorhome pitch

Liked Nice site

Disliked Staff put another van on our pitch over night. So one pitch with 2 vans on, this was very close and unpleasant.

From the manager: Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

I would like to clarify that I always ask for guests’ agreement before placing anyone nearby, regardless of the situation. That particular weekend was especially busy, and our motorhome pitches are very spacious but not individually marked, which can sometimes create a feeling of being closer than expected.

We do our best to welcome everyone in good conditions, but this is also why many campsites no longer accept one-night stays during the high season.

Finally, I’m sorry your experience was affected by this, but a one-off inconvenience like this does not justify giving such a low rating on aspects like cleanliness or overall services, which we maintain with great care every day.

Wishing you all the best for the rest of your travels.

Kind regards,

Excellent camping!!!

Local attractions

You're well sorted for active and more relaxed options within a short trot of the site: ask the friendly team about accessing those splendid Percheron horse carriage rides, or take your tees, clubs and golfing skills to the Bellême Saint Martin Golf Club, a couple of hundred metres away. There's direct access to the Bellême pool from the site, as well as to the town skate park if you have wheelie-based teens on holiday with you rather than smaller sorts. You'll also be conveniently close to Bellême forest, to tackle hiking trails from a measly four to a boastful 19.5 kilometres, and to three heady mountain bike trails, running either through the forest or the natural park. Source info on the park and its horses at the Écomusée du Perche about 15 minutes' drive away, which has regular family and kids' activities among its exhibitions and displays on rural life and traditions of the 19th and 20th centuries. A festival day celebrating  the Percheron horse is held every year at the museum in August.
