Family frolics and fresh air are on tap at O2 Camping, among Normandy fields and farmland in a peaceful rural spot. Lanes for rural rambling are just outside the site, and it's also only 10 minutes’ drive from sea breezes at a sandy beach. There’s plenty to fill your time on site when not out and about: a sizeable playing field caters for games of football, volleyball, frisbee or anything else you can dream up, or you can play out more personal grudges with a game of table tennis or French fave pétanque. The indoor pool is the venue for aqua gym classes and poolside yoga sessions, and has a paddling pool for smaller splashers. Hoping for more of a sit down? Borrow books and games from the library and sink into a hammock or deckchair for a leisurely lounge. And if relaxation doesn’t come as naturally as you hoped, perhaps you need to enlist the help of one of the masseurs that comes by on summertime evenings and weekends… For evening eats, stock up on food at the supermarket 10 minutes away and get grilling on the communal barbecue – perhaps giving your dish an extra je ne sais quoi with a scattering of freshly picked herbs from the site garden. Duly fed, amble over to the bar for cool drinks and chat on the terrace as the sun sets. Naturally, you'll be needing some fresh bread for your petit déjeuner the next day, so order ahead and a kindly baker will deliver it to the site.

  • The site does not accept breeds/crossbreeds listed in the Dangerous Dogs Act (i.e. XL Bully, Pit Bull Terrier, Japanese Tosa, Dogo Argentino, and Fila Brasileiro) and/or any of the following: Staffordshire bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Rottweiler, any Mastiff or Tosa.
  • No hen/stag parties permitted via Pitchup.com.
  • The site only allows dogs up to 20kg.
  • The indoor swimming pool is open between 07/04 and 21/09.
  • No cars/motorbikes by the pitch/unit. All cars must be parked in the designated area.
  • Reception is unmanned after 6 p.m.. Please inform the site while on your way there should you expect to arrive after this time, so that the team can provide information about your unit/pitch.

Lovely pitches, spotless loos, and a pool that's a big hit. Owners are sound, the place is calm and wild. Some found the WiFi a bit dodgy, showers short, and it's out the way. Taps are close, and you'll need a plug adapter.

Ideal location for cycling to Granville

Disliked Position of touring pitches - next to car park. It felt like the touring pitches were an afterthought to the main campsite. Resulting in us feeling like we were not part of the overall site and lacked atmosphere. We paid €31 per night which compared to other campsites in France this was expensive when we were pitched next to the car park!

We had booked for 3 nights but only stayed for 2 (asked if we could amend booking but could not).

Liked Clean and tidy pitches. Clean toilet block. Swimming pool very nice. Well organised reception. It’s clear the team work hard to keep everything running smoothly.

Disliked Chemical waste and drinking water tap very very close together. Not very hygienic. An outbreak break of Sickness and Diarrhoea could easily happen through cross-contamination.
Couldn’t see any other drinking water taps that could be used to fill motorhome/caravan tanks.

Showers only stay on for 4-6 seconds before needing to be pressed again.

Security very poor as access on to the site is via a rope across the entrance. Anyone could get in at any time.

With EHU it’s €50 per night. Quite expensive for what there is.

From the manager: Thank you for your positive feedback on the cleanliness of our pitches, the sanitary block, the swimming pool, and the welcome. We truly appreciate your compliments and indeed work every day to ensure a pleasant stay for our guests.

Regarding your remarks:

The water tap located next to the chemical waste disposal area is strictly intended for cassette cleaning and is not for drinking. We always inform campers of this when they request access to it.
For refilling with drinking water, a tap with a hose is freely accessible near the sanitary block and can safely be used to fill jerry cans and camper van or caravan tanks.

The shower system (short press jet) is set by the manufacturer, following a responsible approach to resource management. This setting complies with current water-saving standards and cannot be modified.

As for site security: our park is located in a quiet and safe area and is equipped with several surveillance cameras, including one at the entrance. Since our opening in 2016, no security incidents have occurred. The current system allows us to offer both peace of mind and freedom of movement for our holidaymakers.

The rate you paid covers one night for 2 adults, 1 pet, and electricity. It also includes access to all campsite facilities (sanitary block, swimming pool, sports fields, etc.).

Liked Peaceful location, had a lovely clean uncover pool. Grounds tidy and looked after. Washing machine/drier on site. Bar wasn’t open which would have been nice

Emplacements spacieux et propres
Petit bar et petite épicerie en dépannage , barbecue à disposition
Les voitures ne circulent pas dans la camping , elles restent sur le parking à l’entrée, donc pas de bruit et pas dangereux pour les enfants

Disliked J’ai pris l’option électricité, malheureusement ce n’était pas préciser qu’il fallait un adaptateur pour brancher ma prise
Il a fallut que j’achète à l’accueil du camping cette prise universelle 20€

La température de la piscine un peu trop froide mais bon en même temps il faisait 18 degré à l’extérieur

Liked 02 camping took me right back to my childhood with the amazing wildflowers and grasses boarded the whole gardens are kept immaculate
Loved the goats chickens and wildlife that visited the site
Perfect short grass paths to move around the site easily
Plenty of different types of camping homes
Very clean showers toilets and washing up area
Amazing indoor heated pool with plenty of sun beds and chairs
It’s has a bar which we didn’t get to use due to not being open until in full summer season
Shop with some supplies and bread to order in full summer season so was not available
Well run family camping site

Liked Beautiful open site, almost empty in the touring area, though theres a lodge area too with families staying. Bar cafe etc due to ooen day adter we left. Toilets and showers were very clean and well kept. Site was natural, lots of birdsong, flowers and nature.

Disliked Only water tap seemed to be at dishwashing area at the far site of the pitch -those in tents had a very long walk to fill a pan!

Local attractions

The beaches of Mont Saint-Michel Bay are about 10 minutes’ drive away, with kilometres of splendid sand to choose from on the stretch between Granville and Regnéville-sur-Mer. If you fancy getting out on to the water, head into Granville (15 minutes from the site) for lessons and boat hire from the sailing school. If you’ve got kids in tow, a recommended day out is Champrepus Zoo, 25 minutes away, where you can see animals from all over the globe including tigers, penguins and lemurs. Should the weather take a wrong turn, head instead for Raptor Park, one of France’s largest indoor theme parks, within 15 minutes. The big boy around these parts is the UNESCO World Heritage Site Mont Saint-Michel, about an hour's drive away. Cross the causeway to walk around the famed medieval ramparts and abbey; if you’re there towards the evening have a look out for the sound and light shows that run in the summer months.
