What customers say

Cosy, peaceful site with stunning views & coastal path access. Friendly owners praised, as are the clean loos, though some mention urinals & a lack of washing-up facilities. Local pubs close by.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Great views and really friendly staff who introduced us to some of the animals on the farm. Great walk down to small bay, straight from the site.

Disliked Shower block is dated. Maybe an additional sign at the farm gate to highlight the location.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked In my previous review, I neglected to mention some other aspects of the site and its location. St Ishmaels has a rich history and several sites of archaeological interest from Bronze Age, Roman, Middle Ages etc and more recent. The site itself has WWII gun emplacements, now used to support military veterans in their recovery. The church dates back to 1100 CE, and is open during the day. A short stroll from the church is Monkhaven Beach, also accessible along the coastal path from the site. St Ishmaels has much to offer, and Coast Path Camping is the perfect site from which to explore it.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Sea view, friendly owners, small and quiet rural site on a working farm, very good value, lovely location walking distance to 2 small beaches and to St Ishmaels village, lots of indoor facilities in a barn including washing machine and dryer, fridge and freezer, cooker, sink, dining table, art area with sketch pads and art equipment and a separate snug with TV.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Amazing view, friendly staff. Electric hook up available. Very close to amazing beach’s by car.

Disliked Better sign on farm entrance as missed entry and ended on a single track which reversing back down was tricky.
Toilet and showers were basic like you would find at a festival, but clean.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked This was a wonderful find! We loved it so much we extended our stay (luckily they had space). The site is well signposted from St Ishmaels, and we received a warm welcome on arrival from Flo, Phil and Flynn. There is ample space for pitches, and we were lucky to get prime position with incredible views over the bay. The site - on a working farm with cute, curious cattle and sheep (including some tame hand-reared sheep happy for a cuddle) - offers private access direct onto the coastal path, which is close to secluded Lindsway beach and also to Dale (do check tide tables before you set off, though!). There is also an excellent pub nearby in St Ishmael's (10 min walk), and the fleccsi bus for access to Dale and Marloes, should you prefer not to drive. Facilities include clean, well-stocked toilets and showers, washing space for dishes, drinking water point, EHU option, etc - everything you need. The closest shop (in Dale) has all the basics, with bigger supermarkets further away should you need more. Phil and Flo are exceptional hosts, and Flynn is delightful - playful and friendly - and your stay here is sure to be wonderful!

Disliked Nowt. Be aware, though, that the site can get breezy as it is right on the coast - great for drying washing, but make sure to hammer tent / awning pegs in well!

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked Small field with nice views out to sea. Cows and sheep freely roaming about mowing the grass. Well equipped site with everything you need inc hot showers, toilets, pot washing etc. Very quiet and peaceful. Walked the coastal path which is accessible right from the site and a nice dog friendly local pub with a good range of meals.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked The view was somewhat nice.

Disliked We had a hard time finding the camping (there is no sign on the coastal path) and when we finally arrived we found a desolate farm. We walked all around the farm and did not find anyone and the owners number did not gave a response.

Later we found a field with some tents and caravans (there was a sign on the farm but some dusty van was parked in front of it). We asked some guest if they knew the owner or how to contact him/her and they told us that there wasn’t anyone and that they just took a spot on this field. This made us do the same as we were getting tired and already paid online upfront.

The facilities were decent but very dirty and old.

The next day as we wanted to leave (no one has stopped by at our tent yet). We saw a young girl with a shepherds dog (maybe the owners daughter?) going on to the meadow. Before entering the meadows the dog was running around the camping field and almost knocked over our burning gas canister, and took a leak on the campsite field. After this the young girl left, and we left shortly after this.

We and our neighbours still didn’t saw anyone upon our departure. And left the camping bewildered.
