Liked: We have a tent and wanted a few quiet days away in Pembrokeshire, which we hadn't explored before and wanted a small, quiet campsite in nature with a shower and loo. The Marsh campsite fit the bill perfectly. It was clean and well run and Hugh the owner was very friendly and helpful. The beauty of this campsite is you can have two types of holiday here. 1. A Micro-Stay - Simply hang out at the campsite, enjoy pottering around it's ponds, streams and marshland. Take a book and relax or view the birdlife with your binoculars. If you are feeling adventurous, you could take a walk to the near-by river-side village of Laugharne and enjoy visiting its ruined castle, and links with poet Dylan Thomas. You won't have to go far to buy food - the campsite's hut, the Spar in nearby St Clears, or several places in Laugharne. If you slow down you will find plenty of things to enjoy here. 2. A Macro-Stay - If you want to fully explore South Pembrokeshire, the campsite is in a fantastic position. A couple of minutes drive away is a roundabout junction where the two main roads in South Pembrokeshire meet - the A40 and A477. For me this was the number 1 benefit of this campsite. It made it incredibly easy to get around and see the sights of Pembrokeshire and after a full day of sightseeing it was quick and easy to get home to our tent. On our way out for the day we stopped at the Spar in nearby St. Clears for picnic lunch items and on the way home popped in to buy breakfast items. It stays open until 11pm - very handy. There is a petrol station in St Clear's too. Everything was convenient. We have given 5/5 for all items, but were unable to leave a ranking for: - WiFi as we did not need / ask for it, so no idea if it was available. - Child friendly - Parents want different things for their children, so......... This is a lovely place if you want your children to experience peace and quiet, simple camping and exploring natural places. There are ponds, streams and marshes, so you may need to supervise around these. We had a great 4 day break. Thank you Huw for your lovely campsite. Highlights of our short 4 day break to Pembrokeshire: Sitting on the headland overlooking Skomer Island and with binoculars watching Puffins in the sea. The huge complex of lily ponds in a wooded valley at Bosherston and the beach at the bottom of the valley. You need several days to fully explore just that area. We plan to go back just for that. Driving around the inland waterways of the Haven from Landshipping-Lawrenny-Carew Castle. Very pretty and a few nice pubs along the way.
Disliked: Nothing.

Liked: The peaceful countryside. Excellent friendly site. If you like back to nature and secluded this is the place for you. Warm welcome. very friendly owner Huw. Fresh local produce in the little honesty shop which were all so amazing we took extras home. A bit difficult to get around if you don't have transport but as we had a campervan we took ourselves off to Tenby for a day which is about 30 minutes away.

Liked: Huge pitches with picnic table and countryside views. Rural and quiet although road noise could be heard in the evenings. Fabulous free range eggs from the Honesty Shop. Enclosed dog walk/area.
Disliked: No hot water for washing up. Also, I'm sure the site description stated there was WiFi but there wasn't. Not a major issue re: WiFi but description needs amending.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review glad you enjoyed your stay. We have no WiFi onsite sadly, this is clearly shown on our Pitchup.com page as is the same for hot water. It's something that we will look into on the future as we keep improving the site. Thank you Huw
