Burton camping pod (pet friendly)
Liked: Stunning scenery and beautiful walk to Margam Park. Gorgeous clean pods well equipped for sleeping and a cuppa! Stunning field's for vans and camping as well. Quirky wooded parts and lake for kids to be kids! Lots of wildlife to see and talk about. The peacock Charles and gorgeous calves not long born! The warmest and kindest welcome from Mari who I truly felt like I’d known her for years!!! We will be back.
Disliked: The shower facilities need a revamp but this site is at the beginnings of something truely special.

Non-electric hardstanding motorhome pitch (family)
Liked: First of all I think it's important to emphasise the 'wild camping' side! We loved being able to wander in the woodland, hearing the birds, watching the sunset and having a camp fire. I recommend the hard standing area at the top for the best views although currently near no facilities. Location fantastic for Margam country park and Porthcawl beaches. Facilities were very basic and not the cleanest but didn't bother us. There are two toilets in a shipping container and a couple of portaloos in the field. One sink for washing up. We would definitely return again. (Family of four, children aged 5&8 in a campervan)
Disliked: -Only one shower - fine for us as site was quiet - tricky if busy so worth knowing. - only toilet roll on Friday night - none the rest of the time.. again, if you're expecting rustic wild camping - you'll come prepared! -Wasn't obvious where drinking water was - a simple sign would be helpful.
