  • Bell tent at a pop-up glamping site in the Garw Valley
  • Margam Country Park and several beaches within 20 minutes' drive
  • Tent sleeping up to six, with barbecue and firepit provided
Make your way to Pont Seren Retreat and a warm Welsh welcome awaits… this pop-up glamping site just outside Llangeinor in the Garw Valley is run by lifelong friends Charlotte and Carly, who are finally bringing to life their ambition to host guests in the gorgeous South Wales countryside. A lot of thought and effort has gone into the setup here, and it shows… you’ll be staying in a bell tent that’s been set up in lots of open space, with a barbecue, firepit, outdoor seating and firewood provided to help you make the most of your alfresco time and the views of the towering hills that surround the place. Lots of handy bits and pieces are supplied here – the tent sleeps up to six, with beds made up ahead of your arrival, and towels are in place too. A kettle, a cool box and a cooker complete the practical side of things, and it’s all been made extra cosy with rugs, cushions, bean bags, lamps and the like. A private shower and toilet are close to the tent. As there’s so much provided here you can afford to pack relatively lightly – but it’s still worth noting that there is a short uphill walk to the tent from the car park (a backpack is the easiest way to deal with this). As well as being well equipped, this is a handy base for exploring the area, with plenty of options around for walking, cycling and nature spotting, a main road close by for further-flung outings and a couple of pubs within a mile if you fancy an evening drink.
