Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: Almost everything you need in one spot. Access was easy enough, especially with the towing specific directions provided by the owner.
Disliked: Couldn’t find any facility for draining the grey water or emptying toilet cassette. Almost zero network coverage, which with young kids and a rainy eve/night didn’t give us much in the way of entertainment options.

From the manager: Hi lovely review. Grey waste in at the back of the pitch where there is drainage. The elson is discretely behind wooden panelling. 4G is good but no wifi. Nice to get a break from it in peace and tranquility!!! Lovely review thank you.
I would return, central to the island.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: Large space, not crammed in, fully serviced pitch, being left alone, no one patrolling the site like a security guard barking out restrictions and orders, nice relaxed atmosphere as a result
Disliked: You have to leave your vehicle sticking out in the road next to a sharp bend while opening the gate, better and safer if he gate opened the other way or was electric ⚡️
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thanks Jenny. All about peace and tranquility with a very well serviced pitch. I trust my guests who always enjoy the place responsibly. No need for patrols!!! The gate is awkward if you dont follow directions. If approach from right direction just open gate and your straight in. Ill remind you next time. Thanks do much for lovely review.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: A small basic campsite convenient for Holyhead with electricity & water in a very quiet setting. All we could hear was rain & pheasants. We were there for two nights at the tail-end of storm Kathleen (& out of season) but we coped well with the field which has a few hard pitches approached over grass. Damian was very helpful when we arrived as we had a small problem which was easily solved. Our caravan meant we were self-contained so this campsite was perfect for us. We also had two dogs who were very happy, though they would have been much happier if they had been allowed to chase the pheasants. We would stay again as it’s so easy for ferry crossings & a rest.

From the manager: You were such lovely guests. Come anytime. Always offer great value, peace and convenience pf fully served pitch. The storm has been challenging but you just got on with it. Lovely couple xx

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: Amazing, quiet location, just 5 pitches on a big field so our kids could play. Really unusual to find a fully serviced pitch in such an idyllic quiet location. If you love a relaxed site with waste and water hook-up then this place is spot on. People have mentioned that it gets wet and they're right, we stayed after a named storm but still managed to get in and out with 2WD and no problems, just use some common sense with how and where you drive in wet weather, the field did drain quickly after the rain.

From the manager: Its was such a pleasure to host you guys. It was lovely your father could join your family. Hope see you all again in the summer!!

Electric optional hardstanding and grass pitch
Liked: It is a lovely setting, star gazing yes.
Disliked: Don't use the directions on a I booked a gravel pitch as never wanted to chance grass especially with the way the weather has been. On arrival I noticed a small grass verge between the main gravel drive and the pitch. Which had deep tire gouges so chose pitch 3 as I could drive round to avoid the boggy areas wasn't chancing reversing in I would have had to drive over a large grass area making multiple turns to level up to pitch as the gravel drive is narrow and stops shy of pitch 3. After a pleasant night we made an early start to pack up. Reversed out no issues but turning on to the gravel drive ended up with my front right tyre stuck in mud. Contacted the owner who said they couldn't help as didn't have a vehicle available which could pull us out and he didn't know any local farmers. He did ring back to provide the name of a recovery company. Anyway spent some considerable time trying to find ways to get out i.e putting gravel and branches in with no success. So called the recovery people £232 it cost because it was a bank holiday. They got us out quickly but not an expense we expected. So be warned until this site is fully gravelled you aren't safe in a motorhome. The lady owner did try and offer support but now I'm not stuck in the back of beyond with a disabled husband my panic has turned to anger as I booked a gravel pitch not a £232 stay at a grass bog. Not to mention the pitch fee 😤

From the manager: Hi. We actually bent over back wards to help you. You had been stuck in barmouth and the previous site you stsyed in. We charged your phone brought tou tea and told you to take uour time. Your husband went to sleep and didnt even try and help. There have been five other caravans snd motorhomes on the site who havent had a problem. I suggest you stick to fully gravelled sites until you gain some experience .

Liked: Possibly would be a nice location if they finish putting the roadway in and some drainage in the ground Due to the water running out the gate from the field, it hasn’t rained that day
Disliked: No signs for the entrance of the site. The sign is on the gate, but when the gate is open it faces away from you cannot contact the owner for assistance on how to find them how to use what3words to locate the site. not legal when you’re driving or entering the site up a hill with a small amount of gravel road, then a waterlogged grass area got stuck on the grass area could not contact the owner for any assistance then she contact the owner the following morning who would not help told me I need to ring the AA done that cost me £75 even though I’m a member very rude on the telephone

From the manager: I am really glad you left this review. this is a small site for families and couples with Norma L size caravans and motor homes. I have just put a road in that normal folk would find adequate. You arrived with a trailer 9 meters long, four tonnes pulled by a 1980”s lands rover discovery. Whilst i over value for money this site was entirely inappropriate, particularly for someone who has a double wheel based 4 tonne 9 m van and lives in it permanently. You were very rude summoning me on the way to work to pull you out. Said i could help but after work at 5. Please do not come again, and if you have a massive long caravan and a small car, despite the new road, this site is not for you in the middle of winter

Liked: We found the owner/ operator very helpful and accommodating. We arrived on the back of Storm Debbie in what were quite adverse conditions. He did his best to help and make our stay safe and pleasant.
Disliked: In bad weather we would recommend arriving in daylight hours !

From the manager: Thanks so much. The field is wet so am extending the road to make it easier for motor homes. I would advise for anyone coming in the winter makers they come early when light, and have a good vehicle to tow. I am always happy to help out with my Landy but i do also work will be around 5 ish usually. Winter caravanning is awesome but fields will be wet,so be prepared
