Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Great pitch size. Amazing hospitality from the host, they went above and beyond. I can’t speak highly of the owners they are so welcoming and incredibly friendly and will do anything they can to help with your stay. Fantastic facilities, spotless shower/toilets. The inside wash area if a great edition with the opportunity to wash your clothing, blankets etc, the added extra of the dryer helps with towels on a gloomy day. The bar opened for the first night on the Friday of our first days stay on so we went to support. It was a great bar to have a chat and talk to other campers. We made a passing comment that the FA Cup final was on and did they have any suggestion as to where to go and watch, without a moments hesitation they sorted a 55’ television for the day after and showed the match, a great edition to the site as many of the guest can up to the bar and provided a great atmosphere. I highly recommend this camp site as we went last year and loved it so much that we gathered some more friends and cam again this year. It’s a must stay for all, close to many places to stay

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: Lovely little site, well maintained large flat pitches. Lots of space for the children to run around & play. Facilities were modern & immaculately clean. The best toilet & shower facilities we've ever stayed at. Great location to lots of beautiful beaches within half an hour drive. There was a field with little goats in that the children enjoyed and our friends were travelled with had a dog so got great use of the dog park too. There was a bar on site but we didn't use it. It looked nice tho. They had a dessert truck attend on the Saturday and an Ice cream van came around on the Sunday which was great. We will definitely be back.

Disliked: You are close to the motorway which you can hear but not to the point where its an issue, it didn't wake us up I just noticed it was still quite busy even through the night when I was up with the baby. The motorway can't be helped, it's not something the owners could change. It definitely wouldn't stop us returning.

Electric grass tent pitch

Liked: The modern, clean facilities (washing up area, bathrooms and toilets). They were on a par with some of the 5 star camping facilities in Cornwall. Near Rhosneigr beach which is lovely.

Disliked: A little bit of road noise but got used to it after the first night.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked: Lovely spacious pitches and hosts very welcoming indeed. The shower and toilet facilities are excellent and like home from home. Cannot wait for the bar area to be finished as this will be a lovely space for people to meet and greet and get together when on site.

Disliked: Just so open and as the weather was very windy and rained excessively it was very loud and blowy - typical english weather unfortunately.

Local attractions

Anglesey’s got 140 miles of coastline to explore, so it’s hard whittling down the beaches you definitely need to check out. It’s worth sticking Porth Swtan – Church Bay – on the list, though, as this is a particularly pretty stretch of sand within 20 minutes’ drive. Wanting a wander? The coastal path is closer (10 minutes), so head here too for strolls with a view of the sea. Inland spots for sauntering about include the multicoloured landscape of Parys Mountain (25 mountains), an old copper mine dug up in the 18th century and then left as it is. Stop by Llynnon Mill enroute, to see Wales’ last working windmill and another worthwhile sightseeing spot, before zig-zagging back to the eastern shores and poking around the Barclodiad y Gawres cruciform passage grave, one of the most interesting Neolithic-era archaeological sites on the island (10 minutes). On your return to the park, detour up to South Stack (20 minutes) and peer at the puffins from the RSPB centre on the cliffs. Not far from here is a port where ferries leave to Ireland, so if you fancy making a very big detour to Dublin that’s also possible…
