Portmeirion folly village

  • Tourer campsite in the grounds of Portmeirion village in Gwynedd
  • Harlech Beach 20 minutes’ drive and Zip World Llechwedd 25 minutes
  • Hardstanding pitches with electric hook-ups and drinking water
Now here’s a rare chance to see Gwynedd’s Italianate folly of Portmeirion out of hours and without the crowds. Book an overnight stay at Portmeirion Motorhome Park and your pitch price includes entry into the village itself – and as an added bonus, you also get complementary use of the heated outdoor swimming pool. And while you’re there, make the most of the village’s numerous other attractions too: go shopping for patterned Portmeirion pottery, or choose between fine-dining restaurants and cafés selling regional produce to stave off any hunger pangs. If you’re in the mood from some soothing R&R, your best bet is to book a rejuvenating treatment at the village’s luxury spa. But back to those tourer pitches. Sitting on the edge of Eryri National Park (formerly Snowdonia), the motorhome park is sheltered by trees and planted with colourful hydrangeas. The hardstanding pitches are all serviced with drinking water and an electric hook-up, and can cater for all sizes of motorhomes and campervans. A pristine shower block available for guest use also has amenities for the mobility impaired.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch (small)

Liked: That we could wander round the village after all the day guests had gone. It felt like a personal VIP experience. Had a fantastic evening meal at the hotel by the estuary, definitely a self indulgence as its not the cheapest but definitely top quality on food and service.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch (small)

Liked: The site was beautiful. The facilities were clean and showers were good.

Disliked: The camper opposite played a guitar all night! With no respect for fellow campers. Till gone 12.. it is supposed to be a quiet site at 10. However there was nobody to report too. People like this should not be campers. As they let the community down. Please be respectful and not get drunk either when you have young children with you. 😞

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch (large)

Liked: The location is excellent, the pitches in the most are level hardstanding with full facilities on each pitch. The toilet and showers were immaculate with dishwashing in a separate room. Full M'home grey waste/black waste emptying. short walk to the village and the use of the hotel swimming pool. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Disliked: The water taps on the pillars need signing, took awhile and a question to find. (located on the rear of the pillar) Direction sign to the Village would be beneficial.
