  • Peaceful tourer site with Irish Sea views on a Gwynedd working farm
  • Five minutes’ drive from the Welsh Coast Path and Traeth Towyn beach
  • Well-maintained grass site with shops and a pub in five minutes’ drive
Sitting on a working farm with truly spectacular views over the northern coastline of the Llŷn Peninsula – you can spy Anglesey and the mountains of North Wales on the horizon – Gwynedd’s Pwllgoed Caravan Site is a magical spot for anyone looking for jaunts along the Wales Coast Path or wanting to run around on sandy beaches. Cyclists and walkers will be pleased to read that Pwllgoed is surrounded by quiet country lanes with wide verges, making them safe for family rambles and bike rides. The nearest sandy beach is Traeth Towyn (five minutes’ drive), and if you’re super lucky and super quiet when you visit, there’s a good chance of spotting seals and dolphins playing in the waves. The nearest essentials store is in the village of Tudweiliog (five minutes), and if you’re after a break from cooking, it’s also got a friendly family pub. Back at base camp, guests are in pole position for smashing sunsets over the Irish Sea on clear nights, and you’ll easily spot South Stack lighthouse on Anglesey after dusk. There are just a few touring pitches spread over a one-acre camping field, each with access to electric hook-ups, water taps, a washing-up area and recycling, as well as a toilet and shower block with a large family-sized shower room. Dogs are welcome, but please keep them under control as livestock grazes in the surrounding fields. They should be on a lead at all times when on site, and exercised away from the pitches.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked We had forgotten our mains lead and we were able to borrow one from the campsite no problem. A small site. Very clean shower and loo block. A short drive to a lovely local beach. Friendly and helpful owner. We loved it here.

Disliked Just be mindful that the Lleyn Peninsula has dreadful WIFi coverage in these rural areas but this is not the fault of the campsite. Some providers are better than others.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Fabulous location for exploring the region. Excellent cycling on the quiet lanes. Walking distance to beach (2 miles) and shop / pub / post office only one mile away.

The site is immaculate with beautiful flowers on the level pitches. The new shower block and toilets are exceptionally good and also immaculately clean.

The owner, Eleri, is very welcoming and extremely helpful.

We will definately be back.

Electric hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Iydllic and stunning views away from the madding crowd, our host could not have been more perfect or helpful. With new and well appointed ablution facilities including Dyson dryers, this was a lovely spot to stop and to absolutely unwind and relax. Everywhere is close by and the local pub provided both choice and quality food if required. A nice small site meant peace and tranquility and we thouroughly recommend it to anyone wanting the real countryside experience. We would definately visit again when on the Lynn peninsular.

Disliked Not a thing.
