What customers say

This well-run, peaceful site has lovely riverside pitches, praised for cleanliness & friendly staff. Facilities are good, with a campers' kitchen. Close to shops & walks. Some noted road noise & poor pitch Wi-Fi, but many loved the calm & scenery for a break.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch (riverside)

Liked Lovely camp site, great location. Our pitch had a picnic table which made the holiday, saved us eating from just our chairs. Toilets clean and showers had constant hot water. Great location near the river. Would recommend.

Electric grass campervan or tent pitch (riverside)

Liked Warm friendly welcome. When we had a small problem with our car the lady on reception went out of her way to help. Lovely level pitch by river. Facilities great and kept very clean. Space for kids to play.
Dolgamedd is in a good place for exploring the area and there are a couple of walks from the site. Only 30mins from Barmouth. Plenty of places to eat within 3 or 4 miles. Loved the site and willl be back next year!

Disliked Nothing.

Electric grass campervan or tent pitch (riverside)

Liked a really lovely campsite, dog friendly bbqs n stone fireplace at night, great view of the stars late at night. beautiful river running behind the tents, showers and toilets were clean, dolgellau village only 3 miles away with nice little shops and food, quick drive to the mach loop and had a few planes go over the camp whilst there as well, we will be booking again for next year 😃😃

Disliked I couldn't see if any WiFi but 4g worked really well

Local attractions

This area is home to some of the most popular walking trails in Eryri/Snowdonia National Park, including the Torrent Walk and Precipice Walk (both trailheads are within 10 minutes' drive). Those of a more ambitious nature may like to tackle the Minffordd Path up Cadair Idris (15 minutes away) or the mountain bike paths at Coed-y-Brenin (20 minutes) while families and leisure cyclists try the riverside Mawddach Trail (10 minutes). Up the thrill levels again with an activity at the National White Water Centre (half an hour) or one of the adventures on offer at Zip World Llechwedd (40 minutes). All a bit too hair-raising? Opt instead to visit the Dyfi Osprey Project (half an hour) or take a stroll around the colourful village of Portmeirion (40 minutes). Taking to the coast is always an option, too – perhaps for some bird spotting at RSPB Mawddach Valley (10 minutes), some history at Harlech Castle (45 minutes) or a day on the beach at Barmouth (25 minutes).
