  • Spacious site a short drive from Eryri/Snowdonia National Park
  • Within easy reach of beaches, watersports and a mountain railway
  • Barbecues welcome and several supermarkets within easy reach
Seeking a sojourn within easy reach of the smashingly spectacular Eryri/Snowdonia National Park? Close to several splendid beaches and within easy reach by car or bike from several towns for foodie spots and cosy pubs? Treborth Hall Farm Caravan Site should, then, tick off a fair few of your Welsh holiday boxes. This peaceful walled park is a 20-minute walk from the Anglesey Isle town of Menai Bridge, home to several traditional pubs and other eateries for off-site sips and scoffs. You can be in Bangor on your bike in 15 minutes too, or hop in the car and be there in less than 10; highly beau Beaumaris is bikeable too – reach it in a little over half an hour on two wheels, or be there in half the time on four. When it comes to stuff for kids to do, they’ve got reams of room to roam freely around, plus a play area too should they require fun structures to clamber on; for a spot of gentle grownup activity, there's a public footpath just outside that forms a loop connecting to the Wales Coast Path, which in turn provides access to Treborth Botanic Garden. For food on site you’re more than welcome to get a barbecue going – several supermarkets are within easy reach around the nearby towns for all your sizzling supplies, and there are also lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways too. Among the on-site amenities are toilets and two shower blocks with coin-operated showers with plenty of piping-hot water.

Liked: Nice little site adjacent to menai bridge town and a pleasant work over the bridge. Just ten minutes walk to a great garden centre with a large cafe.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Clean toilet/shower block, great value electric pitches. Booked very last minute and arrived late with no problems at all. The electric pitches were in a nice little quiet area away from all the seasonal pitches. Lovely site, very convenient for Bangor, Anglesey and Snowdonia.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike. A great site in a great location.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (two person)

Liked: Cute site, quiet, very little light pollution, great toilet & shower facilities, nice pitches (although worth checking you can get a flat pitch like ours, as some are a bit sloped). Would be lovely for kids too as there’s alpacas and horses in the fields on the way in to the site, and a little play park within the site near the showers. Amazing hearing the owls in the nearby woods whilst sitting out under the stars!

Disliked: Washing up stations looking a little tired, damp a mouldy walls, and sinks set unusually low, we’re both 5’3-5’5” and we were hunched over to wash the pots, but still functional, just wouldn’t want to spend long in there. Bring good earplugs if you don’t want to hear owls all night 😂 we had ear plugs and slept fine 👌🏻

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Clean tidy site, from what I saw.

Disliked: Arrived before 1700, no one in office, despite website saying staffed until 1700. Called mobile number on door expecting to speak to warden, whose caravan in opposite office. Instead spoke to a chap in London who told me what pitch I could have. Parked up unpacked got table chairs, cooker out plugged electric in, no electric, tried 3 other sockets no electric. Went to wardens van, still no one there. Called mobile number again, spoke to same bloke in London. Told me to move to another pitch, packed up moved to pitch, unpacked went to use phone no signal. Messaged bloke in London stating I couldn't stay on a pitch without a signal the whole point of me being in Bangor was in case someone needed me, and they would contact me by phone. Moved off site, messaged bloke in London asking for refund as I didn't stay on site. No response yet.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Nothing really

Disliked: Site description is very misleading. No walks from the site unless you want to walk along the main road, even asked the Warden for advice. Toilets in motorhome area very poor, old portakabin with collapsed floor. Pitches small and uneven. Hook-up not working. Constant road noise. Expensive for what you get.

Electric grass pitch

Liked: Has a great wild camping field. Electric hookups on designated tent pitches. Toilet/shower block was clean. Great location for visiting the North Wales attractions or stopping over prior to catching a Holyhead ferry to Ireland. New owner is obliging and keen to help. Very handy for the North Wales Expressway A55. Electric is included in the fee so no coin meters.

Disliked: Showers are poor. Toilet/shower block desperately needs modernising. Only 2 shower cubicles and they are too small to change in. You need to change outside the cubicle &】][]]00= get in quickly as the timer doesn't allow long enough for a decent shower. The timed shower 'on' button is outside the cubicle so if it times out you need to exit the cubicle to turn it back on. Electric tent pitches are mostly sloping. Trains and vehicle traffic can be heard.
