What customers say

Lovely, peaceful site with friendly owners. Basic facilities. Great for walkers, though it's sloping for motorhomes in the wet. Views and quiet make it worth it.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Amazing location, great views over the valley and as it's a working farm there's lots of interesting activity happening. The site is literally 5 mins walk away from a perfect little river swimming spot, 5 mins drive away from the dam and butterfly farm and 10-15 mins away from ANOTHER even nicer swimming spot with waterfalls. Very lovely site owner too. Field is enclosed and not huge, so perfect for kids and dogs.

Disliked Bit of a juggle with the electric hookup and the site is on a hill, even with some wood blocks we were sleeping at an angle

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This was the perfect stay for us. We have our own porta loo and shower so it was great to just have clean water and plenty of space. Great to not have wifi as well. The perfect get away and get into nature. Loved the cows.

Electric grass pitch

Liked I loved the peace and quiet. The views were beautiful and we heard red kites whistling and saw them flying overhead. The lady who owns the site was lovely and friendly and did a great job with her recycling. I would stay here again

Electric grass pitch

Liked Beautiful location with plenty to do in the local vicinity. Enjoyed getting away from it all. Kids didn't once ask for their tablets, back to basics and we loved it.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely reception from Kath. It’s was quiet. Outside facilities available for emptying toilets and rubbish which was clean and tidy.

Disliked On a slight slope but didn’t affect us much.
No signal here so perfect if you are looking for off grid, but difficult to find things without signal.

Local attractions

Aberystwyth (15 minutes’ drive) is a good place for a day out, exploring the castle, riding the cliff railway and wandering along the pier before taking a paddle at the beach. You can also board the Vale of Rheidol Railway here for a steam-powered trip to Devil’s Bridge Falls (which you can also drive to in about 15 minutes if you prefer). Elsewhere along the coast you may like to head north to Borth (20 minutes) to see if you can spot the buried petrified forest (only visible at low tide) or south to New Quay (50 minutes) for a dolphin-spotting boat trip. Closer to home, there’s wildlife of differing sizes to see at the Magic of Life Butterfly House (five minutes) and the red kit feeding station at Bwlch Nant yr Arian Forest Visitor Centre (15 minutes), which also has some lovely walking and bike trails. If you’d rather explore the scenery on horseback, head to Rheidol Riding Centre (10 minutes) for lessons, hacks and day rides.
