Liked: Absolutely beautiful views
Disliked: Site itself was tiny, mixture of tent and 'motorhome' pitches with hookup, steep field with no flat areas and a steep incline towards the exit, definitely to be avoided if your a motorhomer, we arrived and were soon boxed in by multiple tents, loose dogs, football goal posts, rowdy, noisy and best avoided We left after a couple of hours, great I'm sure if you have kids with you and fancy a cheap camping break, I appreciate that was school holidays and a Bank Holiday but not for us I'm afraid

From the manager: To begin with, as regarding the site size, it more than meets the minimum requirement for a C.S. site nationally with the caravan clubs. The field and exit is by no means steep. If that was the case the customer would not have exited un-aided. He was able to leave with his front wheel drive motorhome without any assistance. We had another bigger motorhome on the very same pitch the night before and they stayed the night and also left unaided. This customer arrived expecting electric hook-up but had only booked and payed for a pitch without electric, We went out of our way to accomodate them in the one and only remaining pitch which had electric hook-up. Yes it was located between two family tents. There was nothing we could do about that and he accepted the pitch. The customer was by no means boxed in because if that was the case he would not have been able to leave. Furthermore, as a result, another customer was denied electric hook-up even though they had actually booked and payed for electric hook-up. Don't worry Pitchup.com we have dealt with the refund to them here privately. They still stayed with us. On cleanliness I don't see how they can give us 6/10 because the bins are emptied every day and the CDP is cleaned thoroughly every day. He wasn't at the site long enough to see any of this. The site was busy with visitors enjoying themselves but by no means rowdy. There was no drunkenness and no loud music etc.. As it was the last bank holiday of the summer perhaps the customer should have realised that there would be families present and in future should possibly consider adult only sites. Quite rightly we have a wonderful view down the valley from the site and we really do our best to make our customers welcome, happy and comfortable.
