Liked: High standard of our (beach hut) accommodation. Communal showers/toilets immaculate, and close to huts. Friendly staff. Fair price. Relaxed / remote feeling of site, yet nearby so many wonderful attractions. The fact a firepit is not only allowed, but included, and the benches/tables beside it were lovely. The sea view.
Disliked: Not sites responsibility, but the beach had lots of rubble on it.

Liked: Lovely location, although busy it was quiet, showers were always available. Beach huts were perfect for a non-tent holiday - a refuge from the rain and no time spent pitching a tent!
Disliked: Such a shame that the pool is only open 2 months of the year - we didn’t see the details about it being closed apart from July and August until long after we booked. You have to pay for WiFi which wasn’t helpful. the automatic lights in the bathrooms and showers would go out pretty quickly!

Liked: Location
Disliked: Toilets and no warden, large fogs wandering and relieving themselves. Children and parents screaming and playing loud music, no one controlling this. Toilets were filthy on arrival and stayed that way till following day. Charged to use cooker in communal area.

Geodesic dome (wood-burning stove, hot tub, no pets)
Liked: Stayed in a dome. It was close to toilets and showers. Liked the games room and kitchen. Dome was clean. Provided with 5 bags of logs over a 2 day stay. Still required to buy 2 bags. To keep hot tub going. Lovely coastal walk to crail.
Disliked: There wasn’t a working light in dome and reception couldn’t provide us with another. Luckily we had our own camp lamp. You had to pay for wifi

Hideout camping pod (firepit, hot tub, no pets)
Liked: The location , right on the coast was stunning. A beautiful place to catch the sunrise /sets . The pods themselves are clean and warm with adequate facilities . They are situated to make the most of the beautiful views. For children there is a small park and of course the beach for rock pooling . The site feels quiet and safe for children . A lovely coastal path from the park in either direction provides a nice place to walk and explore.
Disliked: The hot tubs are cold on arrival and require at least 4 hours of long burning to get them to temperature. In wet weather some of the accomodation is across muddy and slippery terrain from parking facilities, without pathways so unpacking can be tricky. Although for both of these issues staff offered to help and even left me some logs to get the hot going .

From the manager: Hi Anna - thanks for taking the time to leave a review for us, we really appreciate it. We do have properties for hire that have an electric hot tub and we do our best to ensure they are warm enough on arrival day (weather pending as they are cleaned on the morning of arrival) so this might be an option for you if you come and stay again - which we hope you will!
