What customers say
A quiet, tidy spot in lovely isolation. Great views & walks. Sparkling clean facilities and a genuinely welcoming owner. Pitches are good, though levelling might be needed. It's remote, so shops are a drive, but that's part of the peace. WiFi can be spotty. Most folk want to come back.

Overall a wonderful location, lovely lodge and brilliant facilities.
Birch camping pod
Liked The site was peaceful and beautiful. Our birch hut was private with a stunning view over the fields and mountains. Annie was welcoming and helpful. The facilities were the best I have ever seen on a campsite.
Disliked The lodge was really lovely but small things to improve it would be a fly screen on at least one window/ door and the cushions for the double bed were not very comfortable.

From the manager: Thank you for your helpful and positive feedback. We are planning some refurbishment in the closed season and new cushions are on the list. I will also look into a fly/midge screen.

Lovely site, definitely coming back!
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely quiet site, nice flat pitches (hardstanding, electric) clean shower/toilet and nice indoor kitchen area with all the appliances and a laundry room too. I had a very pleasant night here and would definitely go back. Staff were friendly and helpful and had local knowledge.
Disliked Not really a dislike, but I went to use the outside sink area but the taps weren't connected to the water but it wasn't a problem as I just used the indoor kitchen.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Very well kept and peaceful site, friendly staff and beautiful walks surrounding. Good sized pitches well spaced and well maintained. Excellent spot to relax and a great base to explore from.
Disliked Not a dislike as such. A very minor issue but one to be aware of, water taps are a short walk from most pitches. We were able to drive over and wait till our hose filled the tank without causing a nuisance as it wasn’t too busy on this occasion.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Anne, the owner, was fabulous! We saw her everyday walking around making sure all was good. Pitch was great as we were in the shade in the afternoon. Shower facilities and toilets were all extremely clean, as was laundry room and washing up room. Also, utensils and plates, ect, available if you forgot anything, which is useful. There were plenty of picnic tables around as well as great walks. Our dogs had a ball with the walks and location. Plenty of wildlife, bats, owls and all sorts of birds, we even saw a frog that confused the dogs 😂. Location was great for exploring.
Overall a fantastic stay! We will be back
