Liked: Location
Disliked: Area is not flat and very wet causing muddy conditions in areas. As we were leaving the tires spun do to the conditions ( not the area was already a mud pit) and a gentleman took it upon himself to yell at us for making a mess and making the park look nasty.

Liked: The site was in a lovely location. It was really peaceful and all the campers were super respectful.
Disliked: Although this is a cheaper camp site, sadly the facilities were poor. They only had two toilets in the womens, and one in the men’s. (Plus a urinal) There was no hot water for washing dishes, and the only tap with a ‘Drinking Water’ sign didn’t work, so we were unsure if the others were safe to drink. There was a charge of £6 per dog which I normally don’t mind paying but here I didn’t really see what that cost covered. We didn’t have any welcome into the site, no one checked we’d even booked so we just parked where we thought was best. The toilets do not have any lights, nor is the camp lit of an evening which made things a little difficult.

Not a campsite. It’s a sloped corner of a muddy field.

Liked: Location
Disliked: Pretty much everything. Pulled into the site, then drove away and booked elsewhere. It’s not really a campsite. Its a muddy corner of a sloped field with a few caravans that look abandoned and other than a fishing lake zero facilities. Presumably this place appeals to the fishing crowd but it’s certainly not for me. Even £15 felt like a rip off.

Liked: Nice fishing lake
Disliked: Toilets and showered were very dirty ,poor lighting leading to toilets and no pathway ,and due to heavy rains the site was saturated and very muddy ,so muddy we could not use a pitch and played it safe and parked the caravan in the carparking area for the night.

More of a long term rental for caravans than a peaceful site

Liked: Wildlife and friendly stables staff next door who let our little ones say hello to the ponies. For the price it’s good but I wouldn’t come back with little ones and definitely not in the rain as the place turns into a quagmire.
Disliked: Generators running for most of the night, strange man on the phone doing laps of the camp site arguing about his Mrs. Had to climb over a mound of mud to get to shower block, pictures attached, not a huge deal but doing it in the night with little ones who need a wee isn’t ideal. No one there to show you where to camp or park up, we just grabbed a spot. Feels like more of a working farm that rents out motor homes to their staff than a peaceful camp spot, shipping containers and IBC containers lined the site. If you don’t have a 4x4 with decent tires be careful where you park as the place is quite muddy in the rain.
