Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Lovely well maintained site. Simple and effective check in procedure. Huge pitches which were fantastic as they are fully serviced. A short drive and you’re in the beautiful town of Lacock. Very enjoyable stay and would thoroughly recommend this adult only site.

Disliked: Not the quietest as quite near to main road.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: The site design although the one way system is confusing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Dog walk area is nice for a small site to have. We liked the location as we had a tow car and we went out for the day exploring. We spent use the WiFi but it was available. Adult only site.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike however, there is a busy A road close by which you can hear but didn’t bother us.

Liked: The site was lovely and quiet. Facilities were fine. Dog walking field was very handy. Staff were friendly and happy for us yo help with WiFi issues.

Disliked: WiFi wasn't working at all. My husband managed to talk to he ownder and fix it for the site. If we hadn't done that we would have had no WiFi for the stay - we needed it for work.

Liked: Nice size pitches with mature hedging around them . Easy access from M4 , good location if travelling and need stopover site. Located in beautiful village. Made to feel welcome on arrival. Facilities generally clean and tidy.

Disliked: Water leaking in Gents toilets all over floor, water leak on pitch from tap, so pitch muddy in one corner.

Local attractions

Fancy a nose around the southern Cotswolds? Lacock (10 minutes’ drive) is a rather lovely place to start, with lots of Georgian cottages and a riverside abbey where scenes from Harry Potter were filmed. Heading north is Castle Combe (15 minutes), often called the prettiest village in England), with a medieval market cross and a sprinkling of cosy tea rooms. Go way back in time to marvel at prehistoric man’s ingenuity with a visit to the stone circles and informative visitor centre at Stonehenge (50 minutes), or get up close to standing stones at Avebury. On the way between these two landmarks, stop off to admire 19th-century engineering skills at Caen Hill Locks (both half an hour) near Devizes, where a series of 29 locks rise up a steep hillside. Another local must-see Longleat (40 minute), with its popular safari tours to spot lions, tigers and giraffes, but if your interests are more city-based, head straight to Bath (half an hour) for its indie shopping and regal architecture, or nip up the M4 to Designer Outlet Swindon (20 minutes) for some serious bargain hunting.
