  • Family park a couple of minutes' walk from the beach at Brean
  • Within 25 minutes' drive of Weston-super-Mare
  • Fishing lake and play area on site
Picky about how close you stay to the beach? Well, Unity Beach in Somerset is just a couple of minutes' walk away from the beach in Brean, and it's not the only pick in the locale: Burnham-on-Sea beach is a 15-minute drive away, and Weston Super Mare beach is 25 minutes away. On the park, there are bathrooms (with loos, hot showers and underfloor heating), a play area and a fishing lake, as well as direct access to Brean Leisure Park. Guests at Unity Beach get a 50% discount on all of the following leisure park locations: the mammoth Brean Splash waterpark (open during high season only) with indoor and outdoor splash zones, flumes and waterslides; the Brean Play indoor play centre with areas for babies, toddlers and kids up to 11; and Brean Golf Club with 18 holes set around 100 acres of meadow. Guests also get discounted tokens/wristbands for Brean Theme Park's rides and amusements. Once your appetite has been properly worked up with all of those activities, sink down in a seat at one of the several on-park restaurants, snack bars or cafés serving cooked breakfasts, steak, ribs, pizza, kids' meals, takeaways or ice cream during high season – and you might very much like the sound of cocktails served in a fish bowl at American-themed diner RJs…

What customers say

Grand, well-kept spot for families, with staff always willing to help and plenty to do, plus it's close to the beach. Gets a bit busy and noisy at times, but most folk would come back.

Grove Field electric grass pitch

Liked Not bad place. But don't think is good place for family's. They said quiet time after 10pm. But next to us was some group of people drinking vodka and talking loudly till 3am., starting car every hour to charge. And nobody tell them to be quiet.
And place is a bit crowdy .

Grove Field electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Easy to book and good price. Good amenities, great bar and cafe areas, and very clean shower block. Good size pitch for motorhome and great help from Adam who welcomed and directed us to our pitch. A very good stay with very friendly and helpful staff.

Disliked Opening times not displayed on the supermarket and quite a long walk to the amenities. Signage could be improved for entrance and around the site.

Grove Field non-electric grass pitch

Liked The price was great £40 for the whole week where others were charging £80+ over the road from a great beach and some local shops and fast food places showers and toilets were good always someone in there cleaning which is always good to see

Disliked Touring was right at the back of the park so everywhere was by car or very long walk in 30+heat the park looked like it wasn't finished and things were open at weird times or not at all had to pay for parking at top by the main entertainment and nothing was open £4.50 for nothing open and still under construction a joke the non electric pitches were so small I booked three pitches had to literally sit on top of another couple camping with there caravan not ideal but they were a great couple thankfully, even though it asked how big your unit was unreal this does not matter as you have to be back to back on a pitch that is just about big enough for 1 unit. I would stay again but I would go for the ehu so much more room WiFi is £10 a day and not great as another couple told me

Grove Field electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Facilities very clean, friendly, a bit away from everywhere, can hire a golf buggy for the day, land bus/train should have been running in the evening but didn't, had a good time, staff very friendly

Disliked Careful if you are a motorhome, if you don't have a car you are stuck on site, quite away from anything

Grove Field electric grass pitch

Liked Clean facilities
Although both wardens were pleasant the female touring park warden was exceptionally helpful. She made our stay so good.

Disliked Dope smoking on two pitches around us, this was after the wardens left for the evening, meant although hot we had to keep our windows closed.

Lovely fish and chips
Shop is good

Disliked Feels to close to your neighbour, although I don't believe it's down to the people that clean the toilets but they were pretty gross first thing in the morning. I think it was probably kids but they were in a pretty sad state.

Local attractions

If you do decide to venture off site (no-one would blame you for a second if you didn't), the best sights of Somerset are within a quick drive. Gorge out on the views of Cheddar Gorge and Caves ten miles away – it's not at all cheesy to state these are among the best in Britain – and take the kids to meet the witch of Wookey Hole Caves within 15 miles, both among the most-visited attractions in the county. Glastonbury is also rather gorgeous and has been visited for aeons by peeps interested in legend and history who come to have a look at Glastonbury Abbey, steeped in stories of King Arthur, and Glastonbury Tor, possibly (you might like to think so anyway) the entrance to the land of the fairies. Learn all about the legends and the Iron Age history of the town at the Glastonbury Lake Village Museum in the fifteenth century merchant's house on Glastonbury High Street; the tourist information centre is here too to see what else to spy nearby. Seasidewise, take a day each at Brean, Burnham-on-Sea and Weston-super-Mare: the first for the tropical bird garden on Brean Down and the dunes running seven miles to Burnham; the second to look at the lighthouses and stroll off into the Somerset Levels, and the third for its whirly good helicopter museum and Grand Pier. Inland, land at teeny city Wells for a day sightseeing around its cathedral and stonkingly spectacular medieval bishop's palace, moat and gardens, or have a day among the hiking trails and bridleways of Exmoor.
