What customers say

Great base for Bath/Bristol with park & ride. Owner John is a star. Showers are top-notch – spacious & hot. Pitches offer privacy. Some road noise & new site feel noted, but facilities are clean, toilets smell nice with towels. Slight slope on some tent pitches, basic washing-up.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked This is a great campsite for getting to Bath. The park and ride really is opposite which was very convenient. The campsite itself is nice and flat. The toilets are kept exceptionally clean, and a couple more showers had been delivered while I was there, making a total of 4.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked We had the best stay at Lansdown campsite. Everyone was really nice, especially John. Whenever we had any trouble, John was quickly to help and reply via text. It was first time camping together and we are keen to go again.

Non-electric grass touring pitch

Liked Location , close bus stop , toilet , and shower very clean , for the price , I feel to much as that’s all it got , stayed at other places and they had more and less in price , but they were very nice people and very understanding , with our circumstances, that happen to us .

Disliked Didn’t have much to offer ,

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Im sorry you felt there was not much to offer at the campsite , besides countryside, stary nights, toilets and showers and a communal fire pitt. For an additional cost you could of used the sauna, BBQ hut or hired a personal firepit or bbq.
There are 2 pubs and a shop walking distance from the campsite and there is a footpath joining the cotswold way. Not to mention Bath racecourse, Beckfords tower and Sir Bevil Grenville's monument which is on the English heritage site. There is also a bus to Bath which runs every 15mins and only takes 15mins to get into bath via the bus. You can also walk into Bath on the foot paths.

We do not have ehu, is this what you were referring to?
We advertise that this is an off grid campsite, and we have only been running 1 year. Eventually we hope to have more facilities , these things take time to save up for , get planning for, and develop, but we aim to improve and add to the campsite eventually.

Amazing place, easy to operate everything.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Fab campsite, easy access. Toilets & shower were immaculate. We didn’t use the sauna or other facilities but they looked great! Amazing location, super quiet and peaceful at night.

Disliked There wasn’t any hot water for washing pots, im not sure if it wasn’t working or doesn’t exist but other than that, it’s an absolutely fab campsite. Would highly recommend and definitely be returning.

From the manager: Hi Abby! Thanks for the review!
There isnt hot water at the washing up area at the moment, I will be installing it this winter. Its our 1st year so hot showers was my focus 😄

Liked The security was reassuring. Facilities were good and it's right opposite a Park n Ride, absolute winner. Owner was a nice guy as well abd just left us to get on with it. Pitch was well marked out too.

Non-electric grass tent pitch

Liked Fantastic camp site a stone's throw away from Bath. We stayed last weekend in summer and had the Park & Ride bus to and from the city center until 11pm as an added bonus. Great showers, clean toilets, lovely stay!
