Electric hardstanding touring pitch (members only)
Liked: Rural area, level pitches, mown grass, easy access to fresh water and chemical waste disposal. Ash tree made site more attractive.
Disliked: Spiders and webs in the toilet sheds, though the toilets and basins were clean. No hand drying paper or facilities. Some noise from trains though not excessive.

From the manager: It was unfortunate that someone had tampered with the lavatory cistern which was later alerted to me by another guest. This is all fixed now. Our lavatories are quite rustic as we are on a working arable farm, situated between 2 large cities. We are close to the A4 and a recycling centre which has undergone a large makeover and there is some noise generated from this. We do not profess to be a quiet site. We are close to a railway line and you can also hear planes landing nearby at Bristol airport. We have beautiful views over fields with livestock and crops, as well as stunning further views of Lansdown and the Kelston Roundhill. We are superbly positioned to visit Bristol, Bath and the Cotswolds as well as other lovely attractions. It saddens me to receive such a poor review for our generally happy and positively-received site.

Liked: The site has great access. although a bit bumpy on the approach road via the railway bridge. Pixash lane is directly off the A4. It was exactly what it says on the tin, a small field with open views, a tap and a chemical toilet disposal, EHU and grass or hard standings. The site manager was friendly and flexible over meeting to get payment. The site is within an easy drive to Bath or Bristol and the X39 bus is a bonus if you don't want to take the car. Very quiet in between trains, although we did 5 nights so we got used to it. There is a petrol station nearby and a Tesco express under 2 miles away. Larger shopping and food outlet opportunities slightly further afield. We used this location for visiting Bath and it served us well.
