If you've been keeping a beady eye out for buzzwords like peaceful, farm and the Jurassic Coast, now is a good time to hit pause. Frome View is a peaceful site on a dairy farm on the Isle of Purbeck, within 20 minutes’ drive of iconic Jurassic Coast locations like Lulworth Cove, the Old Harry Rocks, the Dancing Ledge, Swanage beach and Kimmeridge Bay. Perhaps its most well-known spot of all, Durdle’s Door, is half an hour’s drive away too. Well-maintained, family-friendly and peaceful, the site is on a working dairy farm just outside of Wareham. Mornings can begin with a 20-minute stroll into Wareham to brunch at a café or hire a boat to explore the river Frome, and evenings can start with a barbecue followed by some time at the communal firepit. The site is accessible by car or a train to Wareham station and a 30-minute walk to the farm. For a leisurely train ride, the Swanage Railway is a 20-minute drive from base, and for peaceful strolls around a nature reserve with tea rooms and a strikingly blue pool, the Blue Pool is just a five-minute drive away. Wareham has pubs, restaurants and access to the walking path along the Frome, all within 20 minutes’ walk of the site. It also has a sports centre with a swimming pool, 35 minutes’ walk from the site. Local music events are held on Wednesdays in Wareham.
