Non-electric grass tent pitch (small)
Liked: We absolutely loved hook farm. We were greeted by a friendly man and women, who were very helpful. The pitch and facilities were both great. I used the shower which was lovely and clean. It was all very modern and you can tell they keep up with maintenance of everything! Was so nice to have a shower and feel refreshed for a great price of 20p for 3 minutes, which was plenty! We would definitely return to hook farm. It was a short walk to lyme regis town centre. Overall great stay we loved it and so did our small dog! Thank you!
Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Amazing location. Fantastic landscaping with the site nestling perfectly into the hillside. Right by a pub, the bus stop and the start of the woodland walk into lyme
Disliked: 20p for a shower was a bit inconvenient in this cashless society. All a bit 1980s

Non-electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked: All started with warm welcome, very friendly staff. We were shown to our generous pitch. Shown where all the amenities were. The toilets were clean & modern and showers were warm and clean. The location was perfect for us, 5 mins walk to local pub and 30/40 mins walk to Lyme itself. We were really impressed by the whole site, great it being a dark site and seeing the stars so bright. Unfortunately our car wouldn’t start (new battery needed) the staff jumped to work and got our car jump started in no time at all! Amazingly run site, will definitely be returning in the future
Disliked: I wasn’t a fan of the 10am check out. With it being late in the summer, our tent was soaked with morning due when taking it down. 1 hour would have made a lot of difference and our tent would have been dry when packed away

Electric grass campervan pitch (medium, maximum 6 metres)
Liked: Warm welcome. Location close to Lime Regis and a river side walk into town. Facilities on site were good. The terraced pitches. The view from our pitch.
Disliked: Having to pay 20p for a 4 minute shower. It only took me 2 minutes to shower, but there was no option to turn the shower off manually. This was a waste of water. If a meter was to be used, then 10p for 2 minutes would be better. For those that prefer a longer shower, then they could take 2 x 10p!! Shame there was no free wifi, although apparently over the winter, this issue may improve.

Non-electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked: The majority of the staff were lovely and very helpful. The site is on a steep hill and well spaced out raised pitches have been created to provide level bases for tents. The site is very convenient for Lyme Regis. The additional 20p charge per shower provided 4 minutes hot water and this was ample.
Disliked: The site is on a steep gradient and the laundry facilities are at the top of the site. After 3 solid days of rain we needed to dry the towels we use for our dogs, my husband is recovering from a knee replacement and I am receiving physio and because there were a lot of towels and they were were heavy we drove up to the to the laundry block, we started to park on a gravel area and a member of staff pounced on us stating that no one is allowed to drive to the block or park, as users are expected to walk to the facilities. We of course moved the car but were not given the opportunity to explain. Additional laundry equipment needs to be installed in the second toilet block at the bottom of the site so that customers don't have to carry wash loads up and down the site. Due to soft ground some tent pitches cannot be reached by car, which means that kit has to be carried up and down hill to set up and pack up. Wifi is provided by a third party and charges were expensive.

From the manager: Thank you for your review I am pleased that you like the location. Unfortunately we do have to keep the access roads clear at all times, this is for emergency access. Please just flag one of the on site golf buggies on another visit and we would have been happy to drop off the laundry for you. Due to the heavy rain during your stay we were parking vehicles on hard standing, usually parking is next to the tents.

Electric grass tent pitch (large)
Liked: Clean toilets, flat pitch, spacious, 45 mins walk to the beach/Lyme Regis
Disliked: Slightly laborious check-in process of queuing in car, bit of a nothing / sanitised vibe to the campsite, felt like camping in a car park rather than getting in touch with wilderness.

From the manager: We are pleased you liked our facilities, your pitch and the location. We are a small family owned park in a rural location. We have a very quick checkin and we also personally show all guests to their pitch.
