Liked: Absolutely everything! After a busy week at work we like a quiet spot for a night to chill. I thought we had found the best place but it now has competition. We had the field to ourselves, sat outside in the sunshine until well into the evening.
The campsite is basic but perfect for what we wanted. The grass was very well maintained.
I loved sitting listening to the lambs in the field.
Whilst there are some comments about the main road, yes you can hear it but even on a busy Friday afternoon it was minimal and certainly never bothered us.
We will most definitely be back 😄😄😄
Disliked: Nothing except having to leave

Liked: Lovely small site just 25mins away which was perfect to chill. Water and chemical waste available but you need to be self sufficient which was fine for us. Would need car to get around to places or decamp but we just wanted a chilled weekend with the dogs not far from home.
There’s a Shepherds hut on site as well
Disliked: Working farm opposite side of road to pitch so obviously the tractor noise late night early morning but that’s to be expected so it’s not a dislike but just to let others know. When in the country you expect this.

Shepherd's hut
Liked: The shepherd's hut has been beautifully restored and furnished by the owners and provides all the facilities needed for an enjoyable stay. The hut has its own fenced-off space separate from the main camping area and there is a fire basket outside with chairs and a table. The area is surrounded by trees and looks up a field to woods where there was a carpet of bluebells in early May.

Liked: Lovely quiet site, perfect for visiting my sister in law
Was clearly described that there was no facility so we were happy with bringing our chemical loo.

Liked: Lovely well kept site. Went to sleep with the hooting of an owl and woke up with the jenny wren.
A bit of noise from the dual carriageway in the distance.
