Clear View Camping is a back to basics farm site set in the middle of Dorset. This family-run working stock farm is home to a wide range of animals both natural and domestic, with exceptional views over the local landscape. The outlook over the countryside is uninterrupted and the site is far from any busy roads, but in the distance you'll catch sight of Hardys Monument and Poundbury, a model town backed by Prince Charles. Getting a closer look at the monument is straightforward as you can simply follow a private track from the camping field. Clear View Camping is in a rural location, about half a mile from the small village of Martinstown where there's a popular local pub, a small shop and a handy post office. The site has basic portable toilets, warm showers and a washing-up point available for guests; chemical disposal is also possible here. Dogs are welcome to join you for stays at Clear View Camping. Dorchester (10 minutes' drive) is close by if you need supplies from a supermarket, fancy catching the train to Bournemouth or Weymouth or are looking to poke around a museum for a few hours. A similar distance away, there's also Maiden Castle, a spectacular hillfort with views for miles around. For beaches, fossil-hunting or watersports, you're also a straightforward 20-minute drive from the Jurassic Coast.
