  • Family-oriented park between Dartmoor and the south Devon coast
  • A 15-minute drive from Totnes and half an hour from Plymouth
  • Indoor off-road track available to all cyclist guests
Wheeldon Farm is a holiday park in the stunning south Devon countryside geared towards families looking for action-packed motorhome or campervan breaks. Active holidays are easy to come by here: you're roughly equidistant between Dartmoor National Park and the splendid south Devon coast. With miles of green lanes to explore starting from your pitch, this is a particularly fine spot for mountain bike and e-bike riders – and you're covered whatever the weather as kids (and big kids too) can spend hours zooming around the farm's all-weather indoor tracks. There's also a small playground and football pitch where younger guests can let off some steam. On top of that, six electric mountain bikes are available to hire on site for those who want to explore the stunning local countryside. All guests are welcome to use the modern toilets, hot showers and lounge area. Here, you'll find a washing machine, a large washing-up sink and a coffee machine. Guests are welcome to bring barbecues and firepits. Well-behaved pets can expect a warm welcome here, with daily walks (or swims) provided by the river Avon. This peaceful spot is just at the end of the green lane that crosses the site, while further afield in the South Hams there's a range of dog-friendly beaches and trails to explore. The nearest shop can be reached within 10 minutes' drive.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Hardstanding was good especially with it raining. Good winter pitch but we were staying in the summer and it's basically a silage pit without a roof.

Disliked Showers were cold for duration of timer and wouldn't turn back on so had to change cubicles.
There was also dried up dog muck outside toilet by showers and if we hadn't seen it in the daytime we would have trodden in it at night.
No actual signage as such to say where ti park, first half of the site was being used as a car park by the farm.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Scenery

Disliked Everything else! Pitch just a car park (did have ehu and water.) Filthy facilities likened to a kids residential trip. Mouldy dirty showers that ran out whilst washing my hair. Definitely no cleaning had been done here recently! Dog poo outside the toilets! For £22 a night was just passable but go elsewhere, this place is grotty!

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked Nothing

Disliked Nobody to meet you, no instructions or phone number to call. Campsite was an unkept car park. Toilets were basic and dirty. Showers were basic and uninviting. It felt as though it was just for riders using the indoor track. Feel the description on pitch up very misleading. Sorry to be so negative, we have stayed in lots of places in our campervan but this is the 1st time we have had to move on. Overpriced for what they were offering luckily we found a lovely site nearby for £2 more.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked We stayed one night at this site. The owner was very friendly and helpful.
It was a very peaceful location and we had a good view of rolling hills from our window.

Disliked The shower block was very rustic with bare concrete walls and floor. It was also quite chilly inside it. We found it so uninviting we didnt use it. The separate toilet was ok.

Electric gravel and hardstanding motorhome pitch

Liked We hooked up our camper van for the night, good space, level, and plugged in all night. Can empty cassettes and bins provided too.
Toilets and showers are clean and the water is hot.
Bring adequate footwear for a farm to walk about.
Beautiful view in the morning.
Would stay again :)
Thank you
