Hardstanding campervan pitch
The outdoor pool
Pitch overlooking the devon countryside

  • Award-winning 80-acre site two miles from the beach
  • Pools, pub, fish and chip shop, sauna, steam room and gym
  • Five private fishing lakes, woodland adventure zone and nature trails
Anyone who relishes a bit of variety on their holidays should give this award-winning site serious consideration: there are buckets and spades of activities for all ages, both on site and in the immediate vicinity. Tucked into a valley, only a mile away from swathes of Blue Flag beaches, and a 10-minute drive from Dawlish Warren, Cofton Holidays has 80 acres of meadows, orchards and woodland laced with nature trails for visitors to explore. The facilities here will keep the whole family happily entertained for weeks: Cofton's indoor pool has massage jets and hydrotherapy bubble loungers, as well as a sauna, steam room and gym (a small additional charge applies), and there's a splash area with water jets to entertain the kids. Or set off angling instead at one of the five private fishing lakes, to bag a monster carp (24-pounders aren't unknown here). More? Kids can bounce around in the three dedicated play areas or explore the adventure zone in the woods, with activities such as pond dipping and bug hunting laid on in season; if it’s raining, there’s also a games room with amusements and a pool table. After these exertions, retire to the poolside patio of the Swan Inn for a refresher and a snack: the pub opens every night and serves up a good range of grub (breakfast and lunch are also available at weekends), plus regular entertainment including live bands, discos and karaoke in high season. Cofton also has its own fish and chip joint, as well as a shop for any vittles you might need. Wifi across the whole site (charges apply) means staying connected is simple, and it’s also worth mentioning that Cofton has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.

7.5 metre electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked We liked pretty everything you guys had to offer, the grounds are beautiful, the staff helpful and the atmosphere is just lovely. Had the best couple days and wish we could have stayed longer!

The pool was lovely, the pizza from the bar was perfect, the nature trails and the local beaches were lush.

Disliked Only thing I would say was a disappointment was the unlimited breakfast, I asked for some scrambled eggs but was told they could not be done. Also we weren’t informed what we actually got for our money we just had to pay and sit down then get our breakfast. I feel for the money we paid for this we should have been offered more choice.

Also the toilets a couple times were not clean in the pool area and in our toilets next to our pitch there were a couple cubicals that couldn’t be used due to being blocked.

Jeśli ktoś lubi ten rodzaj wypoczynku moge śmiało polecać.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Tak naprawde to trudno sie do czegoś przyczepić. Sam wychowalem się w ośrodku wczasowym i zawsze marzyłem o posiadaniu swojego. Jesli miałbym marzyć o jakimś konkretnym to byłby on właśnie taki jak COFTON HOLUDAYS

Disliked Po dłuższym zastanowieniu nic takiego nie znalazłem

Electric grass pitch

Liked Facilities were immaculate, great access to the pool, close to the cycle trails, staff were all very friendly and welcoming. Had a few friendly chats with the housekeeping team at the ten acres field, who fed back any comments/complaints we had.

Loved the showers first ever campsite without the annoying push button and able to change the temperature.

We would stay again purely for the facilities but would be more prepared with the need for paying for extras.

Disliked Toilet/shower block felt like it had the heating on even in 28 degree heat! I kept leaving the bathrooms feeling so hot, I felt like I was going to pass out!

The pitches were advertised as much larger than they were, we had very little space between our tent and our car. Which meant we had no room to put up the tarp for shade.

The pool area is lovely and clean, however I feel you need to at least put umbrellas up around the pool for shade. There were only a few tables by the cafe/pub with umbrellas which were always already taken.

The bins by the washing up area were always full, in this heat they needed to be emptied at least daily if not twice a day, we spoke to the housekeeping team and were told they we no longer allowed to empty them as it had been given to the grounds team who just weren't doing it. They did keep feeding it back to their managers tho to try and get it sorted.

The shop was quite pricey and needed a better selection of drinks.

We were also very disappointed that we were unable to refreeze our own ice packs and instead we had to rent more from the shop. The campsite is one of the most expensive ones we have stayed at so would expect to be able to have the facilities to refreeze our own and not have to pay for more. Wifi was very expensive so we just didnt bother with it. Luckily we had 5g at our pitch albeit itimittant signal.

As said above we would stay again but would be more prepared for the extras needing to pay for. I think this is something you need to look at tho as every campsite we have stayed at previously has had the facility to refreeze ice packs for free. Seemed a bit of a con to have to pay to rent new ones from you.

Very dog friendly everywhere apart from entertainment. Great walks, facilities and location.…

7.5 metre electric optional gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked From the start to the finish of our stay all the staff were very friendly and helpful. The shower block was always clean and fresh smelling, the entertainment facilities were clean and well run. Everywhere was dog friendly. The bus stop is right outside the site entrance and ran every 20 mins in both directions. The nearest beach was a lovely walk through a woodland area (about 40 mins) great for the dog.

Disliked Our pitch was not very level but the view made up for this. There was a charge for Wi-Fi

Electric grass pitch

Liked Staff where courteous and polite, grounds where tidy and clean, showers and toilets where reasonably clean

Disliked Advertised as having level pitches so bought my tent along however our allocated pitch was extremely sloped as where most of the grass pitches, pitched in barn field and used the new solar powered shower block, big mistake luke warm water at best, had to keep one hand on the shower button to keep the water running. Very noisy site could hear the clubhouse from the other end of the site, vehicle traffic was relentless, the biggest issue with this holiday park was its cashless except the shop! This was unacceptable and discriminates against people wanting to use cash, had to travel outside the park to eat and drink. The final nail in the coffin was as an English man holidaying in England there wasn't a single England flag flying! Another woke company trying to erase england from the map.. we packed up and left two days early for the reasons outlined above. Would never stay again or recommend.. Paul mckay 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
