  • Bell tents at a north Devon farm on the edge of Georgeham village
  • Croyde and Putsborough beaches within a five-minute drive
  • Proper double bed, firepit/barbecue and outdoor space for each tent
What a fabulous location for a north Devon glamping break – both coast and countryside are supremely easy to access from Incledon Escapes at Incledon Farm, on the edge of the village of Georgeham. It’s a rural outlook indeed here, with views out over peaceful farmland and a flock of free-roaming chickens pecking around cheerfully (they may wander over to the bell tents to say hi from time to time…) Time spent soaking up the scenery is made all the more enticing with the presence of a barbecue/firepit outside each tent, along with your own seating area and table to set up your alfresco meals and drinks. Having the village so close by is a very handy thing too, as it means it’s just a five-minute walk to get to the local shop for supplies (including firewood to feed your firepit), or a drink and meal in the pub (in fact, the village has not one but two splendid pubs to eat and drink in…) And the coast? Well, that's easy to get to as well – it’s a little under two miles to Croyde or Putsborough beach, with Saunton Sands and Woolacombe just a little further away. In between your outings, you’ll be staying in a comfy bell tent that’s been kitted out with a proper double bed, plus all bedding, towels, crockery and cooking utensils – and extra blankets for your stargazing evenings. Shared facilities include toilets, hot showers, drinking water taps, a kettle, an indoor washing-up area and electric plugs, along with outdoor sinks for washing wetsuits and the like.

Local attractions

Things to do... There are so many things to see and do in North Devon: For walkers there is the fantastic South West Coast Path just a few minutes away from us. For cyclists the Tarka trail is a short journey away. Clovelly, Lynmouth and other quaint coastal villages are all close by. For the Golfers, there are two high quality courses nearby, Saunton Golf Club & Ilfracombe Last but by no means least there is of course some of the best surfing beaches the UK has to offer, with miles of golden sand and blue flag water quality. The busy town of Barnstaple is a short journey away with all the shops required for retail therapy. Braunton is also very close with all its surf and skate shops. For the skateboard enthusiasts there is a skate park in Rock Park Barnstaple and of course Braunton bowl at the youth centre. In the village of Georgeham, there is the local post office and shop selling local products and essentials, the beautiful church, and two local village pubs, the Rock and The Kings Arms, all just a 5 minute stroll down the lane.

Bell tent

Liked: Everything was great. We had a bell tent which had all the right amenities, and lit up prettily at night. The showers had decent power which is often a thing to be desired at many campsites. Staff were helpful and friendly and the site was beautiful.

Bell tent

Liked: We stayed in one of the Bell Tents. We had everything we needed in the tent and the beds were really comfy! Toilet and showers were clean and functional. Food van was a good touch. Friendly staff!

Disliked: Would be good to have toilets nearer the tents, but nothing to complain about, we enjoyed our stay and would visit again and recommend to others.

Bell tent

Liked: The bell tent was well equipped and comfortable. Had a fabulous stay. Loved the magical lights after dark. Fire it was great but dont forget your wood or coals! Wider amenities were basic but clean and covered all you would require. Would definitely stay again.
