What customers say
Grand spot by the lake! Owners are sound, really care about the place. Spacious pitches, top-notch showers. Lovely swim, and the cafe's trout is class. Developing but worth it for a good chill. Can't wait to go back.

Beautiful site immersed in nature.
Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked This site is an absolute gem! So tranquil and relaxing, despite being so close to Barnstaple. We loved the walk around the lake, especially as the sun went down; such attention has been given to the plant life and the lakes themselves are so beautiful. I swam one morning- the water was pleasantly warm! We saw plenty of wildlife, including a kingfisher in the stream right near our tent! Richard, the owner, was so lovely and obviously very proud of the whole place (rightly so!) We bought smoked trout and smoked salmon from him, which was totally delicious! We were sad to leave to get back for work, but we will definitely be back. 100%.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked I spent one night there in a 2-person tent with my partner in July. Idyllic and peaceful. The lake is beautiful with many peaceful spots to sit. My partner got to fish and we had a morning swim. Clean amenities. Easy access to water. Fell asleep to the sounds of bubbling brook. Would definitely come back.

A paradise! natural campsite with friendly owners!
Electric hardstanding and grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Beautiful location. Richard and his brother have made a paradise of their fisherie, lake and campground. They were so friendly to take us to the groceryshop by car (we’re on bicycle). We ate fresh-smoked trout and salmon from their farm. Lovely. Good wifi.
Disliked They’re just a few months open so they still have some work to construct more toilets and showerfacilities. They have one which is already perfect.
