Hit the Cornish coast for days of surfing, sailing and seaside strolls, then get comfy in stylish accommodation at Wheal Busy Holidays, a smart glamping site about 10 minutes’ walk from the little village of Chacewater. The A30 passes not far from this central spot, so it’s easy to get out for all sorts of activities, whether you head to the north coast’s surf beaches, to sailing spots on the south coast, to tour various National Trust properties or to visit famed landmarks like the Eden Project and St Michael’s Mount. And then when you get back, you’ll be able to get cosy in glamping units that have been well furnished and kitted out with all sorts of handy things like a barbecue, a firepit, outdoor seating and a mini kitchen, plus bed linen and towels to help you keep the packing list to a minimum. There’s lots of space around the units for some relaxed outdoor time, with views towards the Wheal Busy tin mine to give you a classic Cornish backdrop. For food and other supplies, it’s a 10-minute walk to the village centre for some small independent shops, a pub and a takeaway. More extensive shopping facilities can be found in Redruth (10 minutes’ drive) or Truro (15 minutes).
