What customers say
A lovely coastal escape, plenty of space, some with water views. Perfect for exploring Mount Edgcumbe & coast path, easy ferry to Plymouth. Basic but clean facilities (compost toilet). Praised for natural beauty, wildlife, old buildings & friendly owners. Some noise from campers noted.

Lovely graffiti buildings
Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Not many flat areas ,water tap ,recycling bins ,toilet alittle scary also felt like I had to jump up to the seat. The graffiti building were lovely to see , nice walk to the mount edgecombe arms we kept our car next to the tent as it wasn't clearly marked where we put the car. Very peaceful and relaxing.
Disliked It was very hilly ,not many flat areas.

Surprisingly wonderful site in a fantastic location
Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked Location was amazing! So much within walking distance. A lovely pub over looking the Tamar River is 5 mins a walk away, as is the shirt foot ferry to Plymouth. Fantastic walking trails with the dogs and quaint Cornish seaside villages are just over 1.5 hours walk. The peace and quiet of the site is fantastic, as is watching the beautiful sunsets over the river in the evening.
Disliked It really is basic, a compost toilet (serviced frequently) and a drinking water tap. that’s what this is all about though

Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked The informality, the open nature of the site with lots of places to be private if you want. The old buildings with graffiti. The fact that you could explore Plymouth by ferry and walk along the coast using the bus. Nearness to Mt Edgecumbe and the pub. The helpfulness of the owner when we nearly ran out of diesel on the way.

Top camp spot
Non-electric forest floor tent pitch
Liked Fantasic little camp spot on the coast and 5 mins from Edgecombe Country Park and a top boozer called Edgecombe Arms. Overlooking Plymouth harbour. Great spot for fishing and not far from a lovely little fishing village Cawsand, coastal path and great sea bass fishing spots. Quirky old ww2 buildings and friendly staff with top food stop off recommendations. Compost toilet but you can build a nice camp fire
