  • Peaceful Cornwall site with direct access to the South West Coast Path
  • Perranporth, Porthtowan Beach and Truro within 20 minutes' drive
  • Trevellas Cove and St Agnes village within walking distance
You can’t get much closer to Cornwall’s craggy north coast than at Blue Hills Touring Park: this friendly family-oriented site has direct access to the South West Coast Path and is just a few minutes’ walk from dog-friendly Trevellas Cove. Cornwall’s coast is obviously one of its great draws, but the region’s countryside is just as fine – and you’ll be able to admire some of that glorious scenery from the site too. The park sits within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with rural views from the pitches and plenty of footpaths nearby for walks (with a well-behaved dog at your heels if you wish). All of this adds up to a rather fabulous setting – but it doesn’t end there, since there’s also the fact that St Agnes village centre is a handy half-hour or so walk away for pubs, takeaways and shops where you can pick up supplies for a barbecue back at base. If it’s not barbecue weather, don’t panic – the site also has a well-equipped kitchen for guests to use. Other facilities on site include a laundry room, a covered washing-up area, chemical disposal and a smart modern bathroom block with accessible facilities. A play field gives space for kids to let off steam, and there’s also a wetsuit dip-and-hang area for those using the place as a base for surfing adventures.

What customers say

Blue Hills is a lovely spot, with great staff and clean facilities. Perfect for coastal walks. Some find the showers a bit dated and lanes narrow, but most love the extras like the food vans.

Harleys Field fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked Loved location, great for getting to St Agnes Cove and beach.
Lovely staff and good extra facilities- phone charger and lock, microwave and fridge.

Disliked Need more shower/toilet facilities or existing ones cleaned more often. Small block- needs revamp and maybe something more permanent built.

Avenger electric grass tent pitch

Liked Loved the Avenger pitch, lovely and quiet and close to the toilets but not too close, friendly staff too. Having the coastal cliff walk from the site was amazing too, fridge, freezer, toaster etc all a bonus but we both agreed that the music in the amenities was our favourite, we loved that so much.

Disliked Toilets a bit hard to flush and showers have short push button time, nothing else to dislike

Harleys Field fully-serviced grass pitch

Liked Great sea views and the campsite location is very accessible to the South West Coast path (5 mins walk) - a great spot for walking and sea swimming

Disliked Be sure to follow the correct navigation notes on the campsite booking form as our sat nav led us down a very steep and windy coastal road which lacked proper access

Avenger electric grass tent pitch

Liked Lovely site, clear directions given to find it and great location for walks along coast, as well as for exploring further afield. Super helpful and friendly owners and were able to accommodate extra nights for us. Great communal facilities - huge fridge and freezer as well as kettle, microwave and toaster. Huge pitch sizes and had own picnic table with it which was a big bonus. Pizza van on one night which was ok and coffee van came every other morning.

Disliked Showers weren't great. Only lasted about 20 seconds at a time and were intermittently hot or cold.

Spitfire electric grass pitch

Liked Great family feel. Kids played out with other children which was lovely to see. Mary was fab, really helpful and welcoming. Everything you need. We were lent ramps for the camper and a longer hook up lead. Quiet at 10pm which was ideal for getting kids to sleep at a reasonable hour. Most pitches have a picnic bench which is a great bonus!

Disliked Toilets and showers could have been cleaner.
Unfortunately the WiFi didn’t work for any of our party and the provider support team were not very helpful. There is very little signal, worth noting if your planning a visit but wouldn’t deter me from staying again.

Local attractions

If you’ve come to Cornwall for the beaches, you’ve got two good ones within a 15-minute drive. A vast expanse of sand backed by rocky cliffs, Perranporth Beach (five minutes) is home to the Tunes in the Dunes summer music festival. Porthtowan Beach (15 minutes), on the St Agnes Heritage Coast, is also sandy, with a number of rockpools to explore. Both are popular with surfers. For an insight into the history of the region, you can head to the cathedral city of Truro (20 minutes), where the Royal Cornwall Museum displays local artefacts, plus an eclectic collection ranging from minerals to Egyptian sarcophagi. A twice-weekly farmers’ market is the place to stock up on locally grown produce for the barbie back at the site. At the Eden Project (45 minutes), huge biome domes replicate different landscapes, from a Mediterranean garden to a rainforest. And there’s much more here than just recreated natural habitats, with a lively programme of cultural events, including the Eden Sessions music concerts.
