  • Quiet, friendly and traditional site set on a working farm
  • Seven bays all within easy reach – one for each day of the week
  • Bars, shops and restaurants nearby
Seven bays… in seven days? Have at least a week’s stay at the Cornish site of Seagull Tourist Park, to be within 10 minutes’ drive of the spectacular spots of Trevone, Harlyn, Mother Iveys, Boobys, Constantine, Treyarnon and Porthcothan, all dotted along the north Cormwall coastline around St Merryn. And might you also fancy some surfing? Newquay is half an hour’s drive to the south. An amusement park? It’s a 10-minute drive from Seagull Tourist Park to Camel Creek. National Trust properties, South West Coast Path hikes, animal attractions and castles? All are within at hour at most and several attractions are within 15 minutes. Seagull is mostly level and free-draining, with good overall amenities including a laundry room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, ironing point, hairdryer and hot water, and a spacious toilet block with free showers. Please bring your own toilet paper to the site, as it’s not provided. The staff at reception can also freeze your ice packs and charge batteries. Most of everything else you might need can be picked up at the shops, bakery, post office, pubs and cafés of St Merryn, five minutes’ drive away.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The pitch was clearly marked and level. The views were amazing. The site was easy to find being clearly marked from the main road. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Disliked: Not a dislike, just to be aware. The hump in the road at the entrance ( between the 2 white pillars ) is quite large and we didn’t see any road markings. Not a dislike, just to be aware.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: We loved everything about the site, family friendly and great facilities. Graham, the site manager was so helpful, finding a bike for my daughter to use so she could ride around with her friends, lending us a charger for the campervan when ours broke, nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely stay here again.

Electric grass touring pitch

Liked: The owner John came out and welcomed us then showed us to our grass pitch. The owner is friendly and very pleasant. Beautiful position with peace and quiet. Toilet and shower facilities were spotlessly clean.

Disliked: Not so much a dislike or gripe but try as i might I could not get my awning ground pegs to go any further than 2 or 3 inches into the ground before hitting what seemed to be pure granite. I was stood there giggling about it.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hi Thank you very much for your lovely review. We're glad you enjoyed your stay. The ground does get very hard even with all the rain, you really need rock pegs. We look forward to seeing you again.

Local attractions

You’d need weeks to get around even some of the attractions and activities around this stretch of north Cornish coast… and that’s without even turning sights southwards to the likes of Falmouth… After your week or so on the sands of the seven nearby bays, have an inland day along the Camel Trail, the 14-mile traffic-free path from Wadebridge to Bodmin. Bikes (including trailer bikes to take toddlers) can be hired at several points along the trail. If the kids find that a tad too tame, a go-kart circuit within 10 minutes’ drive is the karting spot for kids aged three to six. Among the many other options within easy reach are Newquay Zoo, the town’s Pirates Quest or the Blue Reef Aquarium (all 30 minutes), Tintagel Castle (45 minutes), or a grownup outing to the National Trust’s Bedruthan Steps, 15 minutes away. Another grownup option is a tour and tasting at the award-winning Healey's Cornish Cyder Farm (35 minutes) – although as there’s a farm park here as well, the kids can come along too.
