Liked: The Pitches were well drained so no standing water at all which was brilliant for break down of the tent. The amusements and activities were great for the kids with activities like mini disco and daytime activities. the outdoor heated pool was brilliant and huge with plenty of loungers. Very close to local beaches and sites to explore. The site has great laundry facilities and on site takeaway for food if you’ve had enough BBQs. Free WIfi In the club house.
Disliked: The shower and toilet blocks seemed tired and basic. There were better bathrooms available at an extra cost. The WI-FI was “shocking” when on the pitches and is a payable service that doesn’t really work. No phone signal was available for most of our stay (keep in mind Cornwall is known for bad cell coverage)

Beautiful well-kept facilities but hope for a hot day to use the pool.

Liked: The facilities were really good, great toilets, lots of activities, man hosting kids entertainment in the evening was giving 110%, beautiful space, loads of smaller parks within the camping fields.
Disliked: The heated pool was actually not very warm at all, the space was subject to wind the day we went and no floats allowed out of the shallow splash pool areas so not much depth for adults to warm up in and it wasn't feasible to stay due to the cold. In general the activities and facilities are outside based so are very dependent on good weather to fully enjoy. The shop on site could have a wider variety of fresh foods/healthier options. The arcade was frustrating in a few ways - you must pay 20p even just for a cup to use the 2p slot machines, and although we were paying grabbers and successfully grabbing and lifting a toy 8+ times, as soon as it moved it dropped the toy, I know these machines are generally a bit of a scam but this just felt like the cherry on the top, that the machines were not set strong enough to hold the toy inside which my child desperately wanted - no matter how many times it was picked up. Same was true of the children's smaller grabber games which had stocked in one a heavy rubber egg stress squeeze thing. It was too heavy to successfully be won, so just be aware the grabbers are set weak and some toys simply cannot be won (which I think is unfair to have next to no chance, especially on the kids grabbers) No free wifi, it is set up on a tarriff to pay for a set amount of time for 2 devices.

Liked: Amazing facilities. Very clean toilets/showers and staff always helpful and on hand. Very safe and secure site. Pool is like being away on holidays abroad. The shop has reasonably priced options and the nightly entertainment and mini golf is a must. Great park for the kids to play. Pitches are close to amenities and are good in size. Site close to perranporth beach and town. Bring a basketball/football for the courts.
Disliked: Food and alcohol were over priced. You can’t bring drink/soft drinks that you buy at the camp shop or elsewhere into the food areas but can drink it right outside them, literally two feet from where a picnic table is. Security enforces this strongly. Ridiculous rule considering the camp site already made the money from buying it from their shop. Pool needs booking and can only do two bookings for a 4 day stay. Each booking is only 2 hours. Loads of down time in between sessions as well- about an hour. No alcohol allowed poolside. Arcade always open, but the ticket shop not often open to exchange tickets for prizes. Pitches are crammed in next to each other.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch (super)
Liked: Nice and clean campsite. Very nice size pitches. Beautiful playground. Very nice outside swimming pool but very cold, especially in a colder weather.
Disliked: Booked pitches next to each other with friends. Paid extra for this. O arrival we found out, that those pitches next to each other were separated by quite tall hedge. This is not what you expecting to get when you pay extra.

In regards to our Super pitches, they are advertised with images showing the hedges separating the pitches. Pitches are adjoined when located next to each other, for this pitch type a hedge will be present. We hope to welcome you back again soon!

Liked: We absolutely loved our stay at Monkey Tree! We camped in a tent with a 4 year old and 1 year old and we had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The girls loved the park, the pool and the soft play was an added bonus! Definitely will be booking to stay here next year :)
