Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Wonderful location for a campsite. Amazing views, a short walk to a pub, shop, butchers and fishmongers. Didn't need to move the car the whole time we were there. Will most definitely be back.

Local attractions

If you like the sound of adventures on the water, you can catch the ferry from Flushing (five minutes’ drive) over to Falmouth (15 minutes), packed with maritime history, shops and a variety of places to eat and drink. Once there, perhaps take a boat trip up the River Fal, or a cruise boat to Pendennis Point to look for orca whales and dolphins. Cornwall’s only city, Truro (25 minutes) has an impressive Victorian Gothic cathedral to have a look around, as well as a couple of interesting museums and lively farmers’ and craft markets. If you’re not inclined towards urban days out, make for the woodland walks at Enys Gardens (10 minutes), or the riverside strolls at National Trust-owned Trelissick. When you’re travelling with the kids, take part in jousting and other medieval-themed activities at Pendennis Castle (15 minutes), perched on a clifftop over the sea. Your offspring will probably be equally pleased by a meet-and-greet with the donkeys at The Flicka Foundation Donkey Sanctuary (10 minutes), or a day on the sands at Flushing Beach (10 minutes).
