What customers say

A tranquil, roomy site with lovely sea views & coastal path access. Colin, the owner, is a hit for his friendliness. Facilities are spotless, showers hot. Pitches are grand. Some found it breezy, but most had a grand, relaxing time and are eager to head back.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Really lovely and quiet site. Beautiful views from our tent and the campsite was well maintained. It felt that all the campers were respectful of the rules with no loud music being played at all etc. The campsite was also very clean and the facilities explained to us upon arrival.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Location brilliant for exploring Boscastle/tintagel. Site very clean grass kept lovely and short.

Disliked Could possibly maybe have another shower/toilet block, although we never experienced waiting , it maybe different in the peak of holiday season. But still showers nice and hot , toilets clean.

From the manager: Thankyou for your lovely review. Your stay was over the August Bank Holiday weekend which is the peek of the summer season and I'm glad that you didn't experience any queuing and had plenty of hot water at the facilities

Electric grass pitch

Liked Lovely coastal view across towards tintagel

Disliked Lack of respect of campers in higher field constantly crossing over our pitch to gain access to the facilities instead of using the access road .one particular family playing games in front of all other pitches and then complaining about my dog barking all day ,although we had been out and about for most of it .they said they pay for a permanent pitch,Asif that gives them carte blanch

From the manager: Well sir
What a disappointing review, but perhaps not a surprise from a person such as yourself ! As for our campsite I do not normally respond to any reviews unless someone is out of order in their behaviour and not telling the "truth "
I let all the 100's of reviews tell the story of our campsite which has been running in our family for 75 years this year. You arrived on a busy Bank Holiday, you parked in such a manner that you took over 2 pitches and no respect for others and how they could park around you ( and you will see in other reviews we allocate large pitches)
We should have asked you to move and park like all the other camper but out of respect for you already setting up we left it alone. You were moaning about children playing on the site. In which we encourage with loads of space playing traditionally in the fields. On hindsight l probably should have asked you to leave.
And as for your dog continually "Barking" ......well I would have shot it !
( And I love dogs )
Best regards Colin

Electric grass pitch

Liked The stay was as good as it always is, very clean amenities, unbelievable views and close to Boscastle and local farm shop. Even though Colin was away when we arrived, the staff that assisted us very very helpful.

Disliked There was a lack of hot water for dishes etc.

Local attractions

Start off on that South West Coast Path near Lower Pennycrocker Farm: you'll be on the path within half a mile of base and the Boscastle to Tintagel Castle leg starts two and a half miles from there, passing splendidly named landmarks like Firebeacon Hill, Rocky Valley and Barras Nose. The nearest beach to the farm is Crackington Haven, less than three miles away, around a coastal village with a shop, two small cafés and a pub. The beach is lifeguarded in summer, as are the ones at Bude, a 20-minute drive away; both are sublimely good surfing spots and popular with families. Never tried it? Enrol in a surf school at Bude or several other beach locations within a short drive to find out more. If you're wandering just to Boscastle or stopping off there on the way to Arthurland, make time for a captivating afternoon in the Museum of Witchcraft and Magic, apparently 'held in high esteem by the British occult community' (hurrah). A visit to the pottery shop and a picnic overlooking Boscastle's harbour should very much be on the cards too. Other options in the area include tackling the golf course at nearby Camelford (other decent courses are at Bude and Launceston), or a meander around Bodmin Moor: see if you can spy the famous beast.
