What a lovely West Sussex spot this is… Blackthorn Meadow is in a most handy location between Chichester and the coast, for a stay where you can pick from city times and seaside days as you please. From here it’ll take you about 10 minutes to drive to the historic centre of Chichester, or a similar length of time to get down to the coast for days on the beaches of East Wittering and West Wittering. And for a bit of countryside time in between the two, there are some fab footpaths to wander along in the local area too (including some that lead down to the Witterings if you fancy a stroll to the seaside). Stays at Blackthorn Meadow are in a lovely two-acre meadow where paths and pitches are cut into the grasses for a relaxed rural vibe. A firepit and barbecue are provided for easy ways to cook alfresco meals and start a campfire, and you’ll also have access to a washing-up area and portable toilets. Pitches are big enough to have space for car parking so you’ll be able to unload and set up easily enough. If all this sounds like the sort of place your dog might enjoy, there’s good news – four-legged family members are welcome to join you on a break here.
