  • Back to basics pitches on a quiet family-owned property
  • A 15-minute walk from paddling and watersports at Climping beach
  • Food pub within five minutes' walk; Arundel and Bognor 15 mins' drive
Considering camping in Climping? Cart your kit to Ryebank Corner, a back to basics site in a quiet corner of a family-run property. If you’re seeking a spot of peace and quiet, this could be the place for you, as there’s little here to distract from the important task of relaxation – the level grass pitches have simply been kitted out with chemical portable toilets and a coldwater tap, but otherwise the place has been left au naturel. That means plenty of space for kids and canines to run around and let off steam, and for the setting up of barbecues. Necessary supplies can be acquired at the supermarket five minutes’ drive away in Littlehampton, but should you fancy letting the pros do the cheffing duties, there’s a rather niftily located pub five minutes' walk away. Stroll from the sitre for 5 minute1s to reach the coast at Climping beach for paddles and ice creams at the shoreside café. Should you wish to explore further, Arundel and Bognor Regis are within a 15-minute drive.

Local attractions

Stroll down to Climping beach in 15 minutes or so for a quiet stretch of sandy/pebbly beach that’s equally good for family days out and watersports including kitesurfing and windsurfing. You’ll need your own kit if you’re going to launch on to the water from here; if you need the necessaries provided for you (and a bit of guidance on how to use it), head to the kitesurfing school in Littlehampton, 10 minutes drive away. If it’s a traditional seaside resort vibe you’re after, drive for 15 minutes to get to Bognor Regis to walk on the pier, ride the miniature railway and play adventure golf. There’s another lovely beach, flanked by sand dunes, over in Littlehampton too. Heading inland, the mighty medieval Arundel castle is about 15 minutes away, with plenty of fun things to keep any budding knights entertained. The motor circuit, horse races and other events at Goodwood are about a 25-minutes drive away.
