General
- A couple of minutes' walk from Dymchurch's shoreline
- Pool on site along with kids' clubs and nature trails
- Café, takeaway and amusements centre
Martello towers, a miniature railway, and a mad-looking scarecrow smuggler called Doctor Syn... if you’re intrigued, come to the lively little seaside resort of Dymchurch on the Kent coast, home to New Beach Holiday Park.
New Beach itself is just a seagull’s hop from Dymchurch’s beach, and close to heaps of other fab family days out, including choo-chooing along on the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Light Railway, meeting wild beasts at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park and getting lost in the maze at Leeds Castle.
There's plenty of family-friendly action on site too: for the kids that might include splashing in the indoor pool, crashing around the Loopy children’s club sessions, or dashing around the lovely nature trails encircling the park; for the adults, meanwhile, there’s the opportunity to linger over a few games of pool or darts in the lounge bar, or to take in the varied and lively entertainment on offer in the evenings.
Amenities include a café and takeaway, an amusements centre, a launderette and a small shop - plus there’s Sky TV and free wifi in the clubhouse.

Local attractions
Dymchurch beach is just down the road from New Beach Holiday Park, so guests can take full advantage of the donkey rides, amusements and opportunities for hours of paddling.
Heading inland, you can take to the lakes: a fab purpose-built stretch of water at Lydd (20 minutes' drive) has adrenaline sports such as wakeboarding, waterskiing and jetskiing; and with a whopping 10 lakes to fish from, if you can’t land something in your net at Wylands Angling Centre, it may be time to hang up that angling cap...
Animal fans can take a safari truck to eyeball the free-roaming herds of wildlife at Port Lympne Wild Animal Park (15 minutes), home to rhinos, tigers, elephants and giraffes. And if the inhabitants of the 'Palace of the Apes' impress you with their acrobatics, there’s an opportunity to try out your own high wire moves nearby, at the Go Ape centre within the grounds of lovely Leeds Castle (35 minutes).
Another great family day out is the Hop Farm near Maidstone (an hour's drive), which has rides and play areas aplenty alongside the agricultural attractions; or, for rainy days, the indoor play zone at Kidz Planet in Folkestone (20 minutes) is a good option for younger children.
Historical types will enjoy a nostalgic coastal journey aboard the steamies of the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway, or an exploration of the chequered past of Dover Castle.
Finally, if you want to sample some local produce, what better place to start than Biddenden Vineyard and Cider Works...
