What customers say

A grand spot, friendly and spotless with plenty of room. Owners are dead on, always there for ye. Relaxed vibes, with the lions' roars, planes overhead, and trains nearby adding a bit of character. Facilities are grand. A bit of train/road noise and a need for more loos during busy times.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely place to stay the owner and his wife were fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. Friday night pizza night was a nice touch especially when it's delivered to your tent. Loved the sound of the lions from the neighbouring cat sanctuary and the towels on the trees.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Had another great stay at Go Glamp in our motorhome. This time we brought our friends along.
Alan, the owner, cannot do enough to make your stay a wonderful experience.

Friday night is Pizza night when you pre-order, and it is delivered to your pitch nicely presented and hot. The perfect size, and the toppings were spot on.

More toilets have been built since our last visit, so you no longer have to wait around when you need to use one.

We will only stay on sites that allow fire pits. After all, what's the point of camping if you can't sit around the fire at night, chatting and keeping warm? So, again, this ticked a box for us.

We will definitely come back again.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Lovely site was a little noisy due to the road and train track and also like a festival kinda speaker coming from the distance , Alan was a lovely guy

Disliked Unfortunately the showers were freezing and that is a massive no when your already staying in a van or tent you look at something like a shower to start your day and if it's cold it just puts you in a bad mood let's be honest ... And leaves you leaving a bad review , if this wasn't the case it's a really nice place

From the manager: Well I am surprised. The first thing we say to people when they arrive is; if you have any issues with any thing, including the showers, toilets or washup areas etc, please report to ourselves, we cant fix it if you don't. Not withstanding you were the only person to complain, which you did after you arrived back home. When you left you were asked if all was ok, "yes thank you" was your comment? So disappointing.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked Fantastic weekend at this site, friendly owners- very helpful and came round checking on everyone both nights. Level pitches, cute pony. Facilities had shower stalls and separate toilets. I didn't use the showers but they looked clean, toilets were always clean. Someone said there's only 2, there was actually 5, but even then and with a full site there was never a need to queue. Fridge and freezer were brilliant additions.

Disliked Only 1 thing and that's the train was exceptionally loud. However we were warned and it wouldn't put us off going again.

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Electric optional grass tent or motorhome pitch

Liked This site was very clean and well maintained. The owner was always on his rounds looking after things and people. You could hear the roads from the big cat sanctuary just across the field which was nice.

They have a little pony called Tony. Does not like to be stroked, but nice to look at.

All day every day was a air show from the air field.

Disliked Not a big issue but this was quite a noisy site. There is a train track, road and some sort of constant beeping from the big cat sanctuary.

Local attractions

If you want to get active on your glamping break, the whole family can have a runaround on treetop ropes at Go Ape Bedgebury, or go dinghy sailing and climb the inflatable courses at Bewel Water (both half an hour’s drive). Slow things down with nature rambles around the arboretum at Bedgebury National Pinetum and Forest (35 minutes). Plenty to do with animals as the focus too: see silverback gorillas, big cats and African elephants in semi-wild enclosures at Howletts Wildlife Park (50 minutes), or take a jeep safari at Port Lympne Safari Park (35 minutes) to spy on rhinos and stately giraffes. If you have younger kids in tow, let them have a cuddle with the friendly inmates at Buttercups Sanctuary for Goats (20 minutes). Canterbury Cathedral (50 minutes) may be calling to history lovers, who can visit the scene of Thomas Beckett’s murder in 1170, before having an amble around the city centre’s half-timbered streets to the porcelain collections in ornate Beaney House of Art and Knowledge. The medieval cathedral and Norman-era castle in Rochester (40 minutes) are both open to tour, or you can do a spot of window shopping on the historic high street.
