Lovely early morning sun at in nature campsite
View of the camping field
Shady spots and sunny spots for you sun lovers

  • Dog-friendly pop-up site in a spacious four-acre field
  • A 10-minute drive from beaches and 15 minutes from Milford on Sea
  • A 10-minute walk from a microbrewery, spa, vegan café and restaurant
Whether you’re paddleboarding on local beaches, pursuing outdoor activities in the New Forest or mooching around the nearby towns, there’s a great balance between civilisation and peaceful countryside at In Nature Camping in Dorset. Under a mile from the edge of the New Forest National Park and 10 minutes’ drive away from beaches, there’s lots on the agenda here: days at the beach, visits to nearby historic towns and properties, shopping or even chilling with a spa treatment at the venue a short walk away. Also within 10 minutes' walk of the site is a vegan café and a restaurant. There’s a microbrewery 10 minutes' walk away, which serves drinks like small-cask beer, handcrafted ales and ‘unfined’ beer. A five-minute drive away, there’s another café with pick-your-own farm produce activities - how lovely. The closest beaches for strolls, snoozes, swimming and the likes are Avon beach (10 minutes), Highcliffe beach (10 minutes) Barton-on-sea beach (10 minutes). As for interesting local towns with shops and cafés, make your way to Highcliffe (five minutes), Christchurch (10 minutes), New Milton (five minutes) and Milford on Sea (15 minutes). The main road from Lyndhurst to the coast runs just a short distance from the field, making it nice and easy to access local attractions. What about the place you’ll be calling home for your Dorset holiday? Off-grid, it’s very much a wildlife haven. Try your hand at self-sufficiency (barbecues and firepits are allowed, weather conditions permitting) or grab your meals locally. There are four hot showers, six toilets and two washing-up sinks for those of you who decide to dust off the old camp stove and try cooking under the stars.

Rental tent

Liked: The size of the tents

Disliked: Jeremy the security man who was on site 24/7 who was over inquisitive about our movements, ensured he walked you to your tent every night which was completely unnecessary and was actually down right rude.

From the manager: Hi guys you came back to our campsite at 1.30am driving your cars with headlights shining into other people’s tents then talking very loudly slamming car doors children crying probably because they have been kept up late several of your party of people where drunk. I asked you to be quite and respectful of other or you can all leave. You apologised. None of you had torches so I said to you I can light the way to your tent which was very kind of me since you had already woken me up and 5 other family’s that where asleep before you decided to be so selfish. Not only that you then continued to slam toilet doors. On you departure I see you left both of are rental tents dirty with beer cans coat hangers. Then I find more of your rubbish in our fire proof storage bins where we keep kindling more beer cans and fag packets. Your behaviour on our campsite is not executable as we have family’s staying here enjoying the peace and quite who know how to conduct themself with respect to others. You have been black listed from our campsite without regret Kind regards from jeremy the site manager also your security Gaurd and the cleaner of your mess.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch

Liked: The peace and quiet, dark, and allowed fires. Jeremy was helpful and friendly. Good proximity to shops and beaches. Toilets kept clean throughout. Will book again!

Disliked: Portaloos rather than anything more substantial meaning you can’t wash your hands after a wee! There’s a sink in the main wash up area, but not close to all toilets. Also only one bathroom sink, so it got busy for teeth cleaning! But only minor niggles because I’m trying to think of something.

Rental tent

Liked: Really friendly people running the campsite who couldn'thave been more helpful. Lovely relaxed place to stay with incredibly clean facilities (even on a bank holiday weekend!). The campsite itself is in easy driving/cycling distance to a wealth of interesting places to visit. Our favourite bit was the communal fire in the evenings.

Non-electric grass and earth tent pitch

Liked: We initially booked just a pitch and then changed to use one of the site tents to help with logistics. Communication was great and welcoming on arrival. The site is clean and tidy and is well looked after by Jeremy. The toilets were portaloos but again very clean and do exactly what you need. There is a basic but great washing up area and 4 showers, the showers were clean and tidy and a great temperature and not a dribble! We stayed for one night but would definitely recommend this site or go back in the future. Thanks for our stay

Local attractions

Work your way outwards, starting with the Sammy Miller Motorcycle Museum (five minutes’ drive) and the Romantic-style Highcliffe Castle (five minutes). The beach has access to the beach and a nature reserve, but for more cool habitats and wild animals, Hengistbury Head (20 minutes) should also be on your radar. Milford on Sea (15 minutes) is also just over the way. There, you’ll certainly get your watersports fix. There are ferries to Hurst Castle, an artillery fort at sea with links to the formidable Henry VIII. Further along the coast is the sailing hub of Lymington (20 minutes). To the north, your New Forest adventures might include the Go Ape course and cycling trails in the Moors Valley Country Park & Forest (half an hour). To the south, perhaps a big day out in Bournemouth (25 minutes), where surfing, kayaking and cycles on the prom might keep you occupied?
