What customers say

A proper back-to-basics spot with a grand owner, animals and kids' fun like a bouncy castle & ponies. Basic facilities, some a bit tired. Relaxed vibe & location liked by many, though noise & upkeep issues cropped up. Good value for a no-frills outdoor adventure.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked The owner was great with communication & very pleasant. He catered for our group when we asked if we could all pitch close together. No complaints really. You get what you pay for. The ground isn't too level so bring blow up mattresses.

Disliked The toilets & showers are not the best but ok for a short weekend. The bins/rubbish area are full and not much room to leave rubbish.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked We loved that there was trampolines for the kids to play on and how close the site was to Southport.

Disliked It was very sad to see the pony’s and chickens in such poor conditions with such small encloses to live in, and it would be better if there was signposts to the site as it is hidden away so can be missed easily when driving past on the main road.

From the manager: Signs are on front Two of them

Directions on website

Ponies and chickens are secured
to more than standard sizes , well more than normal 6x6 stables
- only when campers are here.

Rest of the time they wide free ranging in a huge field
Both for their security and kids that want to crowd them

Very good

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Nothing

Disliked We arrived on site on Friday ready for the bank holiday weekend, we arrived and got approached by two young lads who were very polite. The owner however came over and told us due to bank holiday weekend we needed to place our tent between two trees. This could not be done due to people having big tents including ourselves and he wanted to charge us for two pitches. He took final payment off us we had payed £15 deposit and then £85 left to pay for the weekend, he questioned how many we had payed for and told him we had two more on the way but we’re all staying in one tent he questioned and asked for proof I had payed for 4 people. He told us to place our tent infront of the family who was inbetween our two trees. His idea was to cramp all the tents together not leaving any room incase of a fire which had to be 6metres between tents for safety reasons. The owner whilst trying to set up our tent came into our tent looking around which made us feel conscious about our belongings. We then purchased a lock from the local shop as we didn’t trust our things being left. He kept coming over and telling us how to put our tent up and what pegs we needed which I thought was rude we have put our tent up multiple times and had no issues, and then was telling us how to do it incase we had a storm as if we didn’t know already. The toilet facilities were an absolute state they had broken doors broken toilet seats, we went into the toilet one morning and there was a female cleaning them not sure if she actually cleaned them due to the mess and dirt. She told us in a stern and not professional manner that we had to go elsewhere to use the toilet where that was I didn’t know. The toilets didn’t have doors on they have curtains. We had two tents behind ours and this meant that we could hear all conversations and was woken up in the night children crying and drunk shouting. Our electric cable was underneath someone’s tent due to the owner putting a tent behind ours. The trampolines on site were 100% broken they didn’t even look safe for children to play on, the blowup pool was filthy the children were expected to play in, the animals water was in blowup pools and was black. The fridge that was free to use was filthy inside. Overall we will be 100% not coming back here at all.

From the manager: Scammers
Booked and paid for two

Extra - 6 emerged from tent in morning
Bollocked them. Had a gob

Ran away before I could charge them

Problem also was HUGE oversize tent which crowded others

Should have handed them over to police

Very busy weened and apart from a couple who were ticked off for breaking rules -
All others had a great time
