Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Friendly site owner Walter who was very knowledgable of the area and where to go. Nice clean site and amenities block.

Disliked: There was too much road noise for us personally which did keep us awake quite a bit. There was also quite a lot of barking from a nearby dog breeder, albeit these two points were obviously beyond the site owners control

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked: Site clean and tidy.the owner Walter was very friendly.

Disliked: Didn’t like the fact that you had to pay for showers as very concerned about money running out .would be better I think if you put up the ground rent to cover costs

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review it is appreciated.🙏 £1 in the shower will give you 5 minutes of hot water to power shower standard. It should be enough for a good shower😀 I understand your comments but some people will just have a shower and walk out leaving hot water running , this is why we charge for the showers. I hope this helps.😀

Pitches were well spaced out, spacious and well maintained. Toilet and shower facilities…

Electric optional hardstanding and grass campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Pitches were well spaced out, spacious and well maintained. Toilet and shower facilities were clean and tidy. Host, Walter was friendly and helpful. Local Indian restaurant a few minutes walk away.

Disliked: Too close to road for our liking as we have a dog. No walks directly from the site.

Electric optional hardstanding and grass touring caravan pitch

Liked: Immaculately looked after, easy to get to. Quiet on site.

Disliked: 20p a minute showers. Lots of do's and dont's. Pitches very tight, could be made bigger by taking some off the grass area. With a motor mover we don't need help to pitch the caravan(we have been caravanning over 20 years). Lots of road noise.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave an 8 out of 10 review. Just a little note, the location of the park and the fact that showers are an extra are clearly mentioned in our listing .😀

Electric optional hardstanding and grass campervan or trailer tent pitch

Liked: Nice clean site, Walter was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about local walks and events. Toilet block was clean and warm. Two restaurants next to site

Disliked: Layout of the showers, no place to put shower items except on the floor and they have a communal area to change in, and you have to pay 20p per minute for the hot water or £1 for 5 minutes. At £30+ per night would expect free hot water

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. And thank you for your lovely comments. The walls of the shower facilities are coated in mermaid board which we don’t want to drill holes into. That is why there isn’t a shelf in the shower. Generally only one person showers at a time in the ladies, so the drying area is not communal you would have it to yourself😀

Local attractions

Peer into the past… Samlesbury Hall (five minutes' drive) has witch tours, a heritage café and the historic house to look around, while in Whalley village (10 minutes) there’s a Cistercian Abbey, plus a viaduct, river walks and independent shops to choose from afterwards. The foodies and gin connoisseurs among you won’t be left out around here. Clitheroe (15 minutes) is a fantastic foodie town, thanks to its food festival and market (not forgetting the castle for an extra helping of history), and the Brindle Distillery (15 minutes) is a good way to wash it all down with a gin tour. Now for some nature – some good places to find that include the Brockholes nature reserve (10 minutes), Bowland Wild Boar Park (25 minutes) and all the walks around Skipton and the Yorkshire Dales (40 minutes). Those of you who aren’t finished with the action of a town or city might also want to pay a visit to the Haworth Art Gallery (25 minutes) and all of Blackpool’s attractions (half an hour), including the theme park, water park and piers.
