Liked: Owner was really friendly and down to earth, informative and explained everything well upon arrival.
Fantastic facilities, the shower and Toilets are spotless and serviced regularly, also accommodating.
The picturesque scenery from the camp site is stunning, you can see for miles.
Fire pits provided and can buy wood from the lovely owner quite cheap. Freezer packs for food storage provided and there's also a small library which I though was a really nice thoughtful touch.
Its in a beautiful area with views for miles. The area has rich history and just a 5 minute walk away is a brewery, they also serve food, which I recommend you go and try too.
It's situated close to windmere, you can catch a bus across the road by the brewery an be in windmere in 5 minutes just 2 stops away.
We really enjoyed our time there, it was peaceful, we regret not booking for another couple of days so we will be back next month, 100% recommend for couples who want to just escape for a break.
Disliked: No dislikes, perfect!

Liked: Attention to detail was great. Hosts were friendly and had really thought of everything very carefully. The pitches were great and well equipped with everything required for a fab stay. Facilities were clean and really appreciated the charging lockers and drying room- both great touches. Thanks so much for a lovely stay!
Disliked: The only downside is being near to a main road but we accustomed to this quickly and it's handy from an access point of view.

Small hillside non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: Well thought out site, we liked the emphasis on recycling, water saving etc. Pitches were nice and well screened from one another. I don’t see why some make a fuss about the ‘hill’ which is more of a little slope up from the house. Decent shower and the well-designed compost loo closer to the pitches was handy. Always great to have a fire pit.
Disliked: The road noise is the downside of such a convenient location, I missed hearing only the birds and the rain on the tent.
