Non-electric grass motorhome pitch
Liked: This place was a great surprise. You can pick where to pitch up and there’s loads of room. The views are spectacular in every direction you look. Really is a hidden gem! Very basic facilities, which was fine for us, and portaloos were spotles. The little cart with water, washing up station and eggs to purchase was a nice touch. The lady that runs it is very friendly. We stayed for one night as we’re driving around the lakes, but would definitely go back.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked: This is a minimalist camping experience. It's a field above a farm, with a view out over an estuary. There's portaloos, an outdoor sink and a drinking water tap – so not quite wild camping, but very close.
Disliked: The ground is incredibly hard. You need extremely sturdy pegs and a strong arm to get everything in and secure – at least that was the case on top of the hill where we pitched.
