Liked: The site owners were super friendly and were more than happy to help with anything we asked of them. They came round in the morning and also late afternoon to check on everyone and see if they needed anything, offering firewood in the afternoon. The facilities were basic but very clean, everything worked as it should and there was plenty of toilet roll, hand-wash, washing up liquid. In the washing up room it was a lovely touch to have a few bits and bobs for activities such as badminton sets and books. The site was a good size and well kept, there was plenty of room to pitch up and it didn't feel as if anyone was too close. A few minutes walk down the road there's a lovely pub that shows the football and has a wide selection of drinks and food available. Phone signal was fantastic, full bars in the middle of nowhere was amazing and meant we could plan our adventures as we went along
Disliked: The shower could be a bit clearer on how to adjust the temperature and maybe have something in there to store your clothes/towel on while you're washing so they're not on the floor.

Liked: Really quiet, relaxed vibe. Private river/pond on site. Clean facilities. Lovely owner, very willing to chat and help out. Ability to rent fire pit and buy wood on site. Super close to pub, farm shop/cafe, Wast Water etc.
Disliked: Site got very boggy in heavy rain, even tarmacced ‘drive’ areas got super muddy and wet so parking and access was rough at times.

Liked: Quiet and lovely location. Simple site. Friendly and interesting hosts. My boys are keen fishermen and this location has a river and largish pond. Excellent pub just a few minutes from the site.

Liked: This campsite is one of the best value for money campsites I’ve ever stayed at! Super friendly owner, hot showers, clean toilets and even somewhere to wash pots and pans! A great place to set up and explore the Lake District from. Extra bonus was great phone signal too!

Liked: Stunning location surrounded by fells. The facilties were great for a pop-up camp - proper toilets and hot showers. The owners were really friendly and helpful. We always love having a fire pit too.
Disliked: Ground was a bit soggy in patches although the part we pitched our tent was perfect. Just needed wellies for the toilet run.
